Well, I'll take my cover with BC, but man, they got hosed. A few mystery fouls led to FT's for Duke. A few no calls on obvious fouls on Shelden Williams. No FT's and led to Duke breaks.
At least one goal tend not called.

Add it all up and it leads to a Duke close win, just like always. What a sham, what a shame. Horrible jobs by refs in 2nd half.

I don't like BC, but they overcame a lot and came back from 10. Can't beat 8 guys with 5. Sorry, but thats what it came down to.

that is so true, the refs seem to only focus on the upper half when sheldon plays D, he hits people with his body ALL THE TIME going for blocks but it never gets called, its a joke... he CLOBBERED DUDLEY with the lower half of his body and no call.... its such a joke, that im used to it by now... i had BC LARGE, screw DUKE :)

It was a great game. Fun to watch. Just feel that calls helped Duke build a lead. Prevented BC from building lead after comeback, etc.
Happens almost every Duke game. I really thought refs stayed out of it 1st half.
But 2nd half they just took over. Paulus finishes after a steal. No contact. Foul. Sheldon turns and makes a shot. Guy just stands there. Foul. Sheldon goaltends. No call. Shelden hammers guys 2 or 3 times on shots. No call.
Just a lot of little things as always. Felt like BC should have won by 7 or 8.

Yeah that was a clear goal tend. Williams almost always fouls somebody late in a close game and almost never gets called for it. I don't think I have ever ever seen a game not be officiated in favor of Duke.

i am sure that the five times sheldon had his shot blocked and no foul was called would have incited you if it had been hanesbrough. for you to say the refs gave the game to duke is stupid. why not give duke some credit for winning a tough game

Man, I'd like to. I really would. Duke played great. Redick stepped up big time. But, BC answered it all.
Too many phantom fouls on one end and uncalled stuff at the other.
A close game b/t 2 great teams and you've got more than just a few significant calls handed to Duke. Thats the way it always is. I'm sorry.

I hate to say it, but I'm almost glad UNC didn't beat BC. The last couple mins of that game, refs gave UNC about 3-4 calls to help them come back. It was laughable...

Just wanted to ask this. I meant to post it earlier, but forgot.

Seems like it was fairly late in the game. I think BC was up 3, but could be wrong.

Anyway, never saw the replay of this. McRoberts has the ball on left side of lane near basket. Picks up his dribble and goes to the right side and dunks it. I swear it looked like he took 4 steps. At least 3. Announcers never said a word. I heard someone, either crowd or player, yell WALK. But thats it.

Did anyone see that, and am I wrong. At the time I thought it was BLATANT and can't believe they didn't call it.
