I think its stupid to play these games in a huge dome stadium meant for football.

play all season in a gym or arenas built for basketball then play the most important games on a court with a completely different landscape and feel.

why not play in a real arena built for basketball? I wouldn't want any little bullshit thing like the crowd throwing off depth perception when shooting in the most important game(s)

change up the complex of the game just to fit a few more asses in the seats.

It's about the benjamins ... why have 20K fans buy tickets when you can have 50K+ fans buy tickets? :0074

In case you didn't notice, next year the final four is in Texas stadium...can't get bigger than that.

Final four when NC State won was in The Pit in Albuquerque...they don't make that much from attendance anyway as the game is played for TV and it should be embarrasing to see the empty seats.

It wouldn't lose that much money if they put it back were it belonged and think of the atmosphere. GJN is correct however, it will never happen. The Super Bowl will be played outdoors in a cold weather stadium first...oh yeah, that will be the next SB in New York.

who pays for the nosebleeds at these? Basketball has to be the worst sport for something that size. It's not like football where the play is developing 50 yards wide and over the course of the whole field.

Its nothing new.I saw Ewing and Geotown play Houstonand Hakeem in the Kingdome in the mid 80s .from the third most upper deck.needed binoculars.still was glad to have attended.saw em beat Kentucky in the semis.u get seats via lottery,so those that draw the poor seats usually go just to b part of the event.
