NHL-Instigator Rule........worst rule in sports in my opinion

NHL-High Stick with blood 4 minutes.......you can high stick a guy break his nose and get two minutes, ya clip a guy in the cheek, draw blood, get 4 minutes......stupid :nono:

NFL-The Fair Catch.........ok how friggen boring....kick the ball, the guy catches it.......wow.....real exciting

NBA-387 thousand time outs.........the last 2 minutes of an NBA game can take as long as evolution

Pro Soccer- Diving.............make a friggen rule that if ya lie down scream in pain and act like somebody shot ya in the groin.....you sit out 5 minutes.......that will stop the diving. As of now...no rule.

In NCAA basketball:

Alternate posession rule on jump balls. How horrible it is for a defensive player to make a great play, but be penalized because the arrow is pointing the wrong way.

In the NFL:

Coaches challenge. Why do the coaches lose one of their challenges if the play is over-turned? I saw a game where a coach used both of his challenges early in the game where the officials were obviously wrong. Both plays were overturned, but now the coach can't challenge the rest of the game? To me, if the coach is right, he should get his challenge back.

NBA - Defensive 3-seconds in the key rule. Why not just do away with it and make every game start with a score of 1-1? The refs are going to call this exactly once on each team, regardless of how often it happens. Anyone who has played hoops will agree this is ridiculous. Look, either we can play zone defence, or we can't. How can you force a guy, who's not guarding anyone, to NOT play defence and get out of the lane? STUPID STUPID rule.

MLB - The balk. The most misunderstood, misinterpreted rule in sports. There are 13 different ways you can commit a balk. And most players are familiar with about 2 of them.

NFL - Pass interference. A rule of some sort is needed, but the way this is called is so inconsistent it's a complete joke. The penalty for incidental contact (1st and goal from the 1) is so severe that when it is called, it's too big an advantage to the offence. And thus sometimes it DOESN'T get called when it should, out of the refs fear that they may be blamed for influencing the game too much at a key moment.

NFL - Illegal touching. Actually, there's nothing wrong with this rule. It just needs a new name. Just sounds too rude when it's called. It makes me squirm uncomfortably.

NHL - Icing. Why don't we have no-touch icing? Is it really necessary for the defence to rush back and get to the puck first for it to be called? You just dumped the puck in from behind the centre line like a sissy...that's enough. We shouldn't have to beat you to it too and get slammed into the boards for it just because you're not able to make a proper play.

NHL - The two-line pass. We wouldn't want a long skillful pass injecting a little energy and speed into the game. We'd rather the game come to a halt and be slower-paced.

I don't know why...

but I have never liked the alternating possessing rule in college basketball. If there is a jump ball situation of any sort, they go to the refs working the table and give the ball to the appropriate predetermined team, then alternate the arrow for the next possession. It would seem fair enough, but tell that to the team that loses possession with 30 seconds left, down one, because the refs can't determine which team last touched a ball when before it went out of bounds, in the March tourney.

There has to be a better way to let the teams decide this.

Jack-ass Gary Betteman wonders why half the teams can't make money yet he refuses tomake the game more fan/tv friendly, JACK-ASS.

Glad they did away with the in the crease rule a few seasons back after enfocing rediculous violations with ne mercy all season, EXCEPT during the foal that decided the Stanley Cup in overtime with Brett Hull firmly planted in the crease

Tennis.........US OPEN only grand slam to use the tie-breaker in the 5th set....friggen stupid......Wimbledon, Aussy, and French Open make ya play it out (have to win by 2...8-6, 9-7, etc.).......for some moronic reason the USTA has decided that they want a tie-breaker in the 5th set (3rd set for female).....friggen dumb :nono:

Happened to Carolina at Houston....Fox used both for OBVIOUS calls...agree...need to change that rule
