Clippers held a 22-9 REB edge at the half... HOU is using a small lineup, no :nono: true center and LAC has Camby/Kaman and a host of PF's, yet the 2H sees HOU dominate the boards to the tune of 29-14! :scared
Also, for all you CLIPPER bettors, L.A. failed to score for the last 8:45 until with under 10 ticks to go, Baron Davis FINALLY hits the CLIPS first 3 of the game! :00hour
It was really hard to watch, and I just finished watching it a second time on replay!
The refs clearly affected the CLIPPERS play early in the 4th. HOU was up four, DAVIS drove the lane, got called for the charge, and at the other end, Kaman gets called for a foul when he was clearly pushed more than what Davis had just done.... CLIPPERS tried one more shot inside the rest of the game.... nothing but jumpers after that, and with no Eric Gordon, they weren't going in. Unfortunately, the CLIPS have one of the best shooters in the league on their bench, Steve Novak, and he barely got into the game, and never attempted a shot. If your regulars can't do it, put in the bench and take a chance!
I honestly think the CLIPPERS will be a good club in a couple of weeks though.... once they get Blake and Eric healthy, and combine them with Davis, Camby, Kaman, Thornton, and Butler, 38-42 wins may be within reach this year...
