Yeah, it was clearly Durant's fault that Texas got handled today. He only scored 30 points in 39 minutes. You're right, he is a complete bust.

try getting out of the second round...nba joke

I agree 100% with you.

Carmello is an NBA joke.
A street thug on a team that will get swept in round 1.
At least Melo has the ONLY thing he really cares about, a SCORING TITLE coming. That is if Kobe doesn't catch him. I am sure Melo knows EXACTLY what he needs to do each night.

If you follow Texas at all,you would know that Durant is a stud and the only problem with Texas is RICK BARNES. He can recruit(but just about anyone can at Texas these days), but can't X and O to save his life.
What are you gonna say when USC beats UNC.

maybe the dumbest thing ive ever read on here and that says a lot. :mj07:

I agree, this is wrong on a couple different levels.

Just off the top of my head I think Camby leads NBA in blocks or is close I thought.

And last time I checked Durant was within a couple of tenths of leading every defensive stat of Texas. Leads Blocks, Boards, and was within a couple tenths per game in steals. Don't know what else he needs to prove that he can play defense. Also I heard a story about him that he wouldn't touch a ball for 6 hours of many off season practice sessions, that his coach would just make him run defensive drills.

Camby no defensive pressence? LOL :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Joz honestly Camby could be much better. I swear sometimes he thinks he is a guard. Dribbling all the way down the court going thru his legs. For christ sake get the F-ck in the middle where you belong. He gets the softest 10 rebounds a night. I blame this on Karl tho. To sit there and watch him throwing up shots with that horrible delivery of his is frightening and he does it a lot. why doesn't Karl sit him down and tell him to play deep and enough of that circus crap?

Other than the "softest 10 rebounds a night" part, what the hell does any of what you posted have to do with Camby's defensive abilities?

I would compare him to more of a Amare type than Camby.
Amare has more power and strength clearly.
Durant has a much better outside shot.
Both are quick for their size.

Saying Durant plays no defense is just dumb.He is 1 year removed from HS. He is one of the smoothest freshman you will ever see.Melo included.
Durant will be like Amare in that he will help instantly in the NBA.
Oden will take 3 years to see his best.

try getting out of the second round...nba joke

cmon man are u serious?....i mean i lost a chunk on texas today also but this statement is ridiculous....i lost becuz augustin went 1 for 8 with 6 turnovers, the horns got out rebounded, rick barnes is not a good coach(imo),and the trojans played the much better game....NOT BECUZ ANYTHING DURANT DID OR DIDNT DO.....this kid is flat out awesome!!!....period!!!....to say that hes anything less than awesome is foolish....silky smooth and gives u everything hes got every game.....the only reason texas is in the tourney and made it to the 2nd round is solely due to KEVIN DURANT.....for my own selfish reasons i wish he would stay another year just so i can see him play in college hoops cuz i hate the nba....there is a ton of underachievers out there to vent about but do urself a favor and leave kevin durant out of that group becuz u sound like a knucklehead with comments like that....just think if ur terps had him theres a very good chance they would still be dancing....almost certainly they still would be...

It has everything to do with his defensive abilities. He could be a much better defender if he would play his position. He shortcuts his abilities with braindead play. He try's to be a point guard way to often. His stats should be much better and this is why he has one big night and then one terrible night. In college he was a force but he stayed low. In pro's he somehow thinks he is a point guard some of the times. I don't want my center dribbling the ball up or shooting from the top of the key and 9 out of ten times he misses it and the opposition always gets the rebound. Do you watch Denver games or just look at the stat sheet at the end of the night?

durant has a very bright future in the NBA. i personally think he is that good to warrant all the accolades he gets. by being forced to come to college, his exposure and marketing skyrocketed. his value will be extremely high, a lot more than had he went straight to the nba possibly getting limited minutes. he will make more $ now through endorsements earlier on after playing one year in the NCAA's than again had he went straight to the nba.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The NBA fined Charlotte Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan $15,000 for discussing Texas freshman Kevin Durant during an interview last week.

Team coaches and executives are barred from talking about underclassmen who have yet to declare for the NBA draft. But in an interview with The Charlotte Observer last Tuesday, Jordan said he was interested in versatile players and added, "The kid who may present that is the kid in Texas. (He) may have that because he has all the right signs."

A Bobcats spokesman Tuesday confirmed the fine, which is at least the second in a week for an NBA team involving Durant, the 6-foot-10 forward who is expected to be the first or second overall pick if he declares for the draft.

The Boston Celtics were fined $30,000 after general manager Danny Ainge sat next to Durant's mother during the Big 12 tournament
