The guy is NOT clutch. How many times this game did he have a critical shot and miss ? At least 1/2 dozen. How in the hell did Kmart not touch that ball in OT when they were hawking Durant. :sadwave:

Got to love the gambler's short term memory. When you lose, teams/players suck and when you win, teams/players are elevated. Let's not forget Durant's performance in game one of this series, where he took five of the Thunder?s final six shots (in possessions where he started with the ball in the backcourt) and made four of them. He put in twelve fourth quarter points and touched the ball fifteen times, and single-handed won that game in the fourth quarter for his team.

According to 82games, he is the fourth most productive player in terms of scoring in the clutch this season. There are probably only one or two other players I would rather have on my team in the clutch than Durant.

He has completely carried this team since Westbrook went out - not sure what else he can do. But, he is most definitely a stud, and most definitely, clutch.

Kobe goes down and the Lakers don't even show up. Westbrook goes down and the Thunder are fighting like mad to win. They have a lot of heart. Memphis is a good team. I look for them to take it to Miami in the finals.

OKC squad > LAKERS squad.

Well... There's so many injuries that occurred as well on the Lakers squad.... Hard to say that the Lakers didn't have heart when Kobe went down though. They tried their best and played their hearts out I would say. There was just one factor. The factor was Howard, and right now even though the season is over the fctor is still Howard. Howard needs to make a decision soon, so tht the Lakers can move forward with trades and what not.

I am probably being a bit hard on my Lakers, but one thing I know, when the series is as good as over, the last clinching game - you must bet the other side. Ever since Shaq, the Lakers don't come to play in that last game. I have made a lot of money on those clinching games.

I wished they hadn't started Nash - in fact I wish D'Antoni had let the two young guards play more minutes during the season. They looked pretty good in spots. They shot better (Morris and Goudelock) than the veterans. The only way the Lakers are going to know what they have is to trust the young players more. Those two have some game.

Oh, and Goudelock with whatever you play tonight!

Agree. and thank you.

Hopefully the Lakers could do something to get CP3 to come to the Lakers, like how it was suppose to be initially. CP3 starts, Steve Nash comes off the bench!

Stats mean nothing when your team is down 3-1 and you choke at the FT line in game 3 and choke in the 4Q of game 4. Sorry. :0008 And the excuse he is tired is a joke. He is a kid playing 48 mins in one game every few days.

Biggest game of the season ! Hell AT HOME !
2-11 in the first half. No excuses now. He is nothing more than another glorified Carmelo Anthony.

My last post in this thread :
5-21.
Down 2 ball in hands 10 secs left wide open lane takes a rushed jumper and a huge CLUNK.
He is soft. Yes he has a nice smooth shot like Carmelo. His defense is avg at best. He won't go to the hole unless its wide open. To be compared as a great he has a ton of work to do IMO.
How do you shoot 24% in the biggest game of the year ?:mj07:

Melo's been in the league for 9 years and has never even made a "first team". Durant three time scoring champ, three times first team in his five years in the league. This team is a shell without Westbrook, especially trying to adapt on the fly during the playoffs. You can't take away an all-star caliber player and expect Durant to carry the load completely by himself. That strategy never worked for Lebron either, but I suppose he was also soft when the Cavs lost playoff games and he tried to do it all.

Name five players you want on your team over Durant that are playing in the league now. Saying he is soft is just ridiculous. He is one of the toughest hardest working guys in the league.

Great analysis - post-game, post-series. So easy to wreck guys, after the fact.

He is just a troll who has no idea of what he is talking about.

I still can't believe someone who wished Jack would die in his sleep would keep coming back to Jack's forum to post under new usernames.

Don't waste time arguing with idiots like this..last year durant took his team to a nba finals at 23, jordan at 23 got swept in 1st round..Durant is 24 now, a pup, when Jordan was 24 he got best 4-1 in the eastern semis..at 25 Jordan got beat in eastern finals, at 26 he got beat in eastern finals again.....MJ is the GOAT so I'm not bashin by any means...Durant is young and developing, he's got plenty of time work on his game..lets hold off the "he sucks" and "he's not clutch" comments when the whole team had to change their style of play DURING the playoffs ..he was practically goin 1 on 5 late in the game, not an easy task for anyone
