check this out, sold an item on my e-bay, customer who bought it had his OLD address listed on his pay pal account, says he never got the item, e-bay knows his address was incorrect on his shipping info on pay pal account, BUT E-BAY REFUNDED HIM ALL HIS MONEY, what fuckin protection does the seller get ???????????? obviously none, now if he by any chance gets this item somehow, he gets it for free .. real nice, im pissed off ............... just venting

I have made thousands on eBay. I bought 5 Playstation 3's and sold them for double when they first came out.
Watches, scuba gear, Cameras, cables and the biggest item I ever sold were cellular scanners.

I made a thread a couple days ago about ebay and paying taxes. Got no replies from any of these phaggots on this site. Maybe someone here can answer since this is an ebay related thread: Do you have to pay taxes on items sold on ebay? Does ebay report your sales to the IRS?

Real sorry for your loss, man. I really hope your item sold wasn't that expensive. I would think you would have a claim against ebay if you could prove they knew about the buyer's change of address. How did you mail the item? Did you use certified mail where the recipient would have to show ID and sign for it?

Technically, if you found a $10 bill on the sidewalk the IRS wants you to report it, but realistically if you sell things on EBAY and aren't a business there are no taxes. It's like selling things at yard sale or flea market. The government just haven't figured out a way to do it yet. :0008
