The Cowboys really need this one with dates against NYG, & @ Sea on board. The Eagles also need to keep pace with Was and the football Giants. Eagles have Chargers and @ Den coming up after a needed Bye week.

Cowboys O vs Eagles D

The key for Dallas will be to run early and stick with it. This will open up the play pass. Philly has not been good at stopping the run early on. Note Atl and KC games. Quicker backs who can find cutback lanes can give the Eagles problems.
T. Barber rushed for over 100 yards against them twice last year. W. Dunn gashed them in the opener. Julius Jones has the potential to be this kind of back. The eagles front seven is over aggressive and flys to the ball. Backup DE T. Cole has made a couple of big mistakes already not playing the cutback. Look for Dallas to run Glenn on a reverse. Both teams lines match up evenly up front except for Dallas RT Petiti who will face the toughest pass rusher he has seen so far. Jevon Kearse. If Dallas can establish the run look for play pass to open up with Witten who caught 9 and 6 passes last year against them.

The eagles defensively need bring pressure up the middle against Bledsoe. Pressure right at his face should force him to throw picks. The corners match up well against Glenn and Johnson. The problem will be containing Witten who hurt them last year. M. Lewis did a nice job on T. Gonzalez last week. He will have to keep it up.

advantage push

Eagles O vs. Cowboys D

The Cowboys new 3-4 scheme I think was installed party to neautralize the eagles West coast offense and short passing attack. Philly likes to throw a lot of short passes to RB's this is harder to do against 4 Lb's. The problem is if you take away the underneath you give up the deep. Henry can not run with G. lewis. R. Williams can not stay with L.J. Smith. Newman can stay with TO but he is prone to stops and outs because he doesnt break on the ball as well as he should.
In man to man only Newman and A. Glenn can cover Westbrook. Look for A. Reid to exploit these potential mismatches with pre snap motion to get the ones he wants. He may also mix in a liitle more run than usual. Gordon has been doing a decent job running the ball as a reserve.

The Cowboys should blitz Mcnabb and take thier chances in coverage much like atlanta did game 1. They can not sit back and let mcnabb pick them apart. They need pressure. Thats why they installed this defense. Thats why they drafted D. Ware. He cant cover Westbrook either, so blitz. R. Williams needs to walk down and bring it. He is a liability in coverage, But a Beast close to the line. Hicks has had trouble pass blocking so look for Glover to sneak by with some good pressure as well. Mcnabb is hobbled he hasnt scrambled all year long. they must take advantage of this.

advantage eagles

The eagles are having trouble kicking the ball deep enough on Kickoffs(HALL RETURNED TD) and France got a FG blocked last week. so Special teams advantage to dallas.

KEYS

EAGLES- pick up the blitz and stop the run.
COWBOYS- patient with running game and well designed blitz scheme.

Line Eagles -3 @ Dallas +3

Andy Reids Eagles are pretty bad the week before a bye if that helps any. If Dallas loses this game at home they can kiss the playoffs goodbye as they have zero chance of beating the Eagles in Philly. Its do or die for them Cowboys. Goodluck

I love that so many are on Dallas this week.

That makes it an even stronger play for me to take Philly.

Have these people actually seen Dallas play?

They suck.

They haven't looked good in any game this year asside from in San Diego, which I think was just a fluke.

Bledsoe is horrible. He was horrible in Buffalo, and he is horrible in Dallas.

I can't see Dallas winning this thing.

I'm kinda leaning toward the Eagles since they have dominated the boys recently and are a solid road team...I kinda have this feeling though that the Cowboys will pull out all stops in this one and will attempt to knock Donovan out of the game...I liked the game at -3...but it's up to -4 so I'm staying away from it for now.

Reid is 10-2 last 12 against the boys

Eagles are 7-2-1 ATS last 10 against the boys

The Eagles should roll this overrated Dallas team.

Mismatch...lay the points
