WTF???????????? Like they need more RBs. McCoy, Lewis, Brown, now Jones? WOW!!

Perhaps a trade for McCoy is in the works!!

Or perhaps, Kelly plans to have a no huddle offense and rotate 2 speed demon backs at a time!!

Going to be an interesting NFL season, especially for Eagle fans, like me :wall:

can never have enough rb's, lolol

LeSean McCoy is being sued for assault.

There's a major difference between sued and charged, but it's still a potential headache for the Eagles. The suit's plaintiff alleges McCoy assaulted her before kicking her off of a New Year's Eve party bus. McCoy has admitted to kicking the woman off the bus, but denies the assault. The plaintiff is seeking $50,000 in damages. Criminal charges appear unlikely, so the episode is unlikely to affect McCoy on the field.

Man, you aren't allowed to grope on a bus anymore? that's a shame :mj07:

Still, the Eagles don't need that much depth, but I feel some off-season trades brewing after these OTA's, so we shall see what happens!!

Thanks for the info, IE!!

I didn't understand this signing. Cowboys fan here... Felix is just not very good. He doesn't seem to love the game, and he looked in 2012 like he just didn't have any more explosiveness/elusiveness.

He fluctuated his weight a lot in Dallas, gaining weight one year, losing it the next, rinse/repeat. And he's been banged up with a bunch of little knicks and bruises along the way too.

I doubt he makes the team, unless he wins the kick off returner job. But... outisde of 2008/9, he wasn't very good at that either.

I agree with all your comments about Felix, DWare.

One thing we have to remember is with this new coach and scheme he will run, he liked having lil skat backs and he played a lot of them, usually 3 man rotation until the end of the season, he did this with Varner/Barner, James, and the other lil guy I can't remember off the top of my head his name, so I'm sure he's probably dangling Brown and or McCoy for a trade. If not, a Kick Returner wouldn't hurt by having Felix do that.

Chip Kelly's offense at Oregon ran the ball 685 times in 2012. He may not run it that much this year with the Eagles but they will be a run heavy team. Jones gives them depth behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown. Playing as a third-string back with limited touches could help keep Jones fresh.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly indicated TEs Brent Celek, Zach Ertz and James Casey are expected to receive playing time during games this season.

There could be plenty of targets for the TEs in the Kelly system this year. Celek is the leader of the group and could be the featured player at the position. He has a $4.5MM cap number this year and may be asked to take a pay cut before we get to training camp. It will be interesting to see how this position battle and the targets therein shake out.

Philadelphia Eagles

Biggest Post-Draft Hole: Cornerback

Anyone who watched an Eagles game for more than five minutes last year realized that the secondary was in need of an overhaul. The names on the jerseys might have been familiar, but guys like Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie played more like fans who had been pulled out of the stands to suit up at halftime. Philadelphia?s pass defense DVOA of 24.1% was the worst in the league, and three of the four starting defensive backs were among the league leaders in broken tackles. That?s the kind of performance that tends to get people fired, and now, in addition to a brand new coaching staff, the Eagles have a completely revamped secondary.
The problem is that, at least on paper, the team did a much better job of finding replacements at safety than they did at cornerback. Kenny Phillips and Patrick Chung are both young, productive players with good draft pedigrees. There are reasons why these two players were available: both are injury risks, and Chung also was benched in New England because Bill Belichick felt he freelanced too often. Still, the talent makes both players very worthwhile gambles. The additions at cornerback have less upside. Bradley Fletcher finished out the year as St. Louis? fourth corner thanks to his penchant for drawing flags. He might be a more natural slot defender, but Brandon Boykin is entrenched as the nickel back, so Fletcher will play on the outside. Cary Williams started for the Super Bowl champion Ravens, where he gave up a ton of completions by playing soft on any kind of comeback route. The one thing Williams does exceptionally well, though, is tackle -- he missed a grand total of three tackles in the last two years. And as noted before, that's a talent that was sorely missing from the Eagles' secondary.
Notable Undrafted Free Agents

Iowa State outside linebacker Jake Knott was considered a potential fourth- or fifth-round pick who slid right out of the draft in part due to the shoulder injury that prematurely ended his senior season. Knott has excellent range and good coverage skills, two traits that are largely lacking among the current Eagles linebackers. At 6-foot-2, Damion Square is a bit short for a 3-4 defensive lineman, but he started 31 games for Alabama, which is about as good a pedigree as it gets. Oregon?s Isaac Remington is a Chip Kelly import, a 6-foot-6, 305-pound defensive lineman who started the last two years for the Ducks.

I know the Eagles and the moves they made already trading away starters has hurt the teams defense !

And the offense also even tho he didnt do much Stanley Havill was viable in blocking !
