also...the line hasn't moved much since the TO announcement.......that tells me Vegas likes the Eagles
trying to help EVERYONE out, this games almost a tossup to me. To build on what Stag said, I was SOLD on the skins tonight, until the T.O. news hit and VEGAS didnt do shite. Kinda like the 75% money on Virginia Tech last night followed by NO LINE MOVEMENT..result, Miami in a romp. NOT SURE if the line didnt move because vegas refuses to give more than 3 or so in these NFC EAST showdowns or the tilt is for the Eagles. I'm leaning towards the latter...
This game could easily be a pick or -1 and I think it opened at -1.5. This is just cuz of homefield and the traditional notion that teams returning HOME after a BLOWOUT usually respond pretty well. Putting that aside, you've got 2 great defenses that will try to set the tone early after getting LIT UP LAST WEEK. I dont think this game goes over 39, but I dont really bet full game unders, and if I ever did, it wouldnt be on a total in the 30s, haha. That being said, under 20 in the first half looks AWESOME. Maybe each team gets on the board with an early TD, but I wouldnt count on it. Remember last sunday night, good defenses going at it, field goals, divisional matchup, etc.
Look for the Eagles to try to run FINALLY tonight. LJ will get some looks from McNabb but Reid has to be smart enough to recognize SKINS defeciencies in run defense, heavily exploited by KC few weeks ago. Westbrook just got some PAPER, look for him to come through huge tonight. That being said, this is NOT the Eagles of the last 4 years, they will NOT dominate the NFC EAST, and have NO SHOT to dominate the NFC period like they have been. I think Washington reinforces this 'changing of the guard' tonight by following up on what Dallas did few weeks ago.
I'm not playing cuz im a birds fan and hate betting on my own team, but I would definately take the skins -3
SKINS 20 BIRDS 13
