Analysis To Follow later in the morning...that loss has kept me up working hard. It's humbling to be sitting high up on a mountain at 3-0 for the week thinking you're gonna roll into Saturday a big-headed 4-0 then BAM!!!! Knocked back down to earth. I hate all these hooks. I will probably buy them away.

Boston College -3.5
Potential Blowout, no Marshal...no offense. Home-dominated series. BC has a show-stopping defense at times. Great running back tandom in Knight and Dodd...always fresh legs.

Purdue -2.5
Might come down a little more or buy half point, home-dominated series. I don't like Iowa away from home on top of that fact. I know the team that can throw in this game will come away winners and I don't see Iowa passing in this one.

Ohio State -6.5
Tough enough when you're the team in the BIG 10 playing over your heads all year under a great new motivator in JL Smith, but it's even tougher preparing for the three-headed monster that has become Ohio State. Three you ask? Yes...The Defense, Krenzel, and now Golden Arm McMullen. Try preparing for all three after coming off a tough home loss, going on the road for another tough game, and being the public bunny all at the same time. I love this game to pieces. Now I have to put the pieces back together and really see where this one is going to rank. I'm getting the feeling for an ugly game for Mich State. This could be their toughest game to date. Buckeyes allowing right around 50 ypg on the ground at home this year. I think T-Ball when capping this game. Smoker is the Ball, lack of running the Tee, and the Buckeye Blitz like a DeMarini Triple-Wall Bat. I'm thinking 17-3, 20-6...I'm not seeing a Michigan State TD with all do respect to their offense.

(RED)Eyeballing:
Rutgers +7.5 No cover is safe in East Hartford
Colorado +4.5 Mizzou on the road laying wood???
Virginia Tech -4.5 PUBLIC ENEMY #1

More in-depth analysis to come late in the morning. There will be no sleep in this house tonight. I will be pulling an all-nighter and I can sleep while my winners are coming in. Sleep with confidence.

we're thinking along the same lines with ohio state. i can see a cover from them this week. personally, i think ohio state wins this week and then loses the next two games (purdue and michigan). bucks could win by 10 or so. i cant touch it, but i think youve got the right side.

im surprised you like rutgers. this is the first week ive liked uconn damn near all year. would like to have seen you or bear or other northeast guys on the huskies. ill pass

SCRATCH PURDUE

SCRATCH PURDUE

I will not make the same mistake I made last night betting a team with the rest of the world. I see a lot of 4's out there now. That said...I hope the rest of the world covers.

In other news...Ohio State is down to 6, Unbelievably BC is still only a 3.5 Point Favorite with Rasheed Marshall out for the Mountaineers. I was expecting 4.5 to 5., Beginning to wonder if UConn is the play. After looking at this game for a long time I almost pulled the trigger on UConn. I'll pass too G. Thinking about Parlaying BC and Ohio State. In fact I will parlay these two teams. Good Luck.

MOTIVATIONAL HANDICAPPING 101

MOTIVATIONAL HANDICAPPING 101

For those of you thinking about a play on the UConn/Rutgers game remember that this is the final home game for 19 UConn seniors that help build this house that is Division I Football, that is Rentschler Field, and it all started with their first BIG WIN as a D-I Team over Rutgers when they were nothing. So for these seniors it all started at little 12,000 seat mermorial stadium in front of a crowd that was more anticipatory for the upcoming women's basketball season than it was for the football game they were watching. It now ends in front of a sold-out 40,000 Seat Rentschler Stadium in front of a crowd that loves their football team. It all started with these 19 Seniors 4 years ago. Good Luck on the game. I will be sitting back and enjoying this one for those 19 young men that helped pave the way for us to be a 7-3 Division One Football Team here in 2003.

Mick,

Don't let me talk you out of this...but, WVU has a clone of Marshall (Charles Hales)playing today...He is a better passer. WVU lives and dies by the run and that will tell the tale today. Personally, I am just going to enjoy it...Good Luck

I like BC mainly for other reasons

I like BC mainly for other reasons

They have an offensive line capable of controlling a game for 60 minutes. I love the combination of the little shifty Derrek Knight and the bigger Horace Dodd. I like their big-play capability. I respect the opponent today. But I like this game more than any other on the board. I'm not playing anything big because I refuse to squander this week's profits. I also wish you the best of luck and thanks for giving me the heads up.

RECAP

RECAP

My plays today so far are...

Boston College -3.5
Ohio State -6.5

I have lived by the hook so I am willing to die by it too. If had to rate this they would both be 2 Unit Plays. Not big, but strong.

I am looking at Colorado and VaTech as my two later games. VaTech might be the biggest fade ever. It's rather funny that a team, the Hokies, beats Public Hated Team #1 Miami that everyone loves to root against...and now they have become Public Enemy #1. You beat em you become em I guess. So there it is...my card for today:

BC -3.5
Ohio State -6.5
Colorado +4
Virginia Tech -3.5
