my side play this year has been mediocre at best but totals have kept my head above water. i see 2 overs i really like in the day games:
alt/phi over 9: adams' recent form has been scary and he gave up 10 er's in 12.1 innings vs the braves in 2 april starts. marquis has pitched fairly well of late but he gave up 5 er's in 6.2 innings aginst philly in an april start and has been prone to the long ball on the road, giving up 10 hr's in 37.2 innings. home plate ump barksdale has a fairly small strike, especially calling righties. he's 7-2-2 to the over in games with 2 rh starters, with the games averaging 10.27 rpg. his games also average a high 2.3 hr/g, and have gone over 8-1-1 in his last 10. today at veterans stadium, it appears the wind is going to blow fairly steadily out of the north, or left to right. this philly team is 9-2 to the over in such conditions over the last 2 seasons, averaging over 12 rpg. today with these 2 rh starters, 2 teams with decent lefty power, barksdale and conditions as expected, i think we'll see a few dingers flying out of right field before this one is over.
cle/kc over 9-: i'm kinda guessing on the line but 10 is ok too. kc 26-9 to the over vs righties at home this year and charles nagy on the mound - what more could you want? fwiw, hp ump cooper over 8 of last 9 and wind today out to center 10-15 mph.
good luck today to everyone.
