thought it was gonna be a 3rd perfect night in a row. but shoulda known sasaki would blow it for the m's. he looked like dog sh1t last time out vs oakland. and he looked even worse today. still cool with a 8-1 run, but hate to see closers p1ss away 8 good innings of work by the starters and setup guys.
for sunday, playing these:
2 units.....cincinnati (+160) over montreal
for those catholics- just as christ rose from the dead, heres hoping the reds can do the same. cuz god knows theyve had no pulse lately. not really playing the "due theory"- because the only things due are bills and pregnant broads- but just feel like regardless of recent performance, graves/armas should be about +120ish based on talent. maybe im better off donating when the church collection basket comes down my pew during easter sunday mass, but i think the reds are worth a shot.
1 units....cleveland (+200) over chicago
numbers really dont tell the story in this matchup. dont get me wrong, cleveland is l-a-m-e offensively, but as far as the davis/ buehrle matchup from last week, it shows davis getting beat up by the sox. fact of the matter is sox had a couple infield singles and a couple of "seeing eye singles" in the first meeting these two pitchers had last week. white sox put 5 on the board in the first, even though davis didnt pitch all that poorly. he actually rebounded very well and threw 4 scoreless (and near hitless innings) after that rough 1st inning. he then followed it up with a very good performance vs baltimore his last start. with buehrle, you know what youre in for. just a damn tough pitcher who works both sides of the plate and changes speeds well. indians are gonna have their hands full. but if davis can get his sinker working like he did last outing, tribe could stay in the game the whole way with a shot to pull it out.
1 unit....new york (-157) over minnesota
i could basically cut and paste my post from friday and saturday's yankees play because its the same logic. salient point: yanks own minnesota right now. plain and simple. yanks have won 10 in a row against minnesota and twins aint hittin worth sh1t. going into last nights game, twins were averaging 2 runs a game vs the yanks this year. and true to form, they lost 4-2 saturday. no reason not to ride this cash cow until they drop one vs minny. yanks just seem to be in twinkies heads right now.
