Bush has not done much the first 7 years what makes you think he's going to do anything now? He's just watching the clock.

"And so, in my State of the - my State of the Union - or state - my speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation - I asked Americans to give 4,000 years - 4,000 hours over the next - the rest of your life - of service to America. That's what I asked - 4,000 hours."

Look on the brightside--he's only allowed 2 terms--you won't have to listen to another one.

the glass is always half full, eh Dog? Too bad the other is half is 9 trillion short. Oh, I forgot, you are a Chinaman. Guess its up to the sons and daughters of Americans to pay off GW's fvck up. Thanks for the memories. You are a great American.

Oh yeah, I forgot, the Rhodes Scholar you call Billy Bob (no need to insert joke here) left us with the biggest surplus in the history of the US was squandered by the idiot you voted for. Thanks again.

Half a decade in, and Al-Qaeda is is on the run. Mission accomplished. You guys are such idiots, please, please when you move to China, take the rest of the morons with you.

Where is Bin Laden? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

We couldn't find him.

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

"...Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run. Listen, a while ago I said to the American people, our objective is more than bin Laden. But one of the things for certain is we're going to get him running and keep him running, and bring him to justice. And that's what's happening. He's on the run, if he's running at all. So we don't know whether he's in cave with the door shut, or a cave with the door open -- we just don't know...."
- Bush, in remarks in a Press Availablity with the Press Travel Pool,
The Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford TX, 12/28/01, as reported on
official White House site

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

Thanks again. You guys are true patriots.

Gee, I wonder where Bin Laden is.

Let me guess, Dogs That Bark, you have a big pink ribbon sticker on your car, because you support the troops.

Wayne, did the storms in China cause any problems for any of the wife's family or friends? That sounded pretty rough, the traveling problems, at least.

No chad but thank you for asking--They live down by south china sea---if it gets 45 degrees its considered cold.
Most of china is having very bad period of record snow ice and cold. Worst part- it is during start of their biggest holiday season-spring festival-where everyone visits relatives and many trains and planes have been grounded until further notice.

Not a bunch of happy campers there now.

Jabbers Didn't you find GW'S part on Iraq a little interesting --when explaining "some" a year ago were calling for to surrender. Don't know about other channels but Fox scanned the some prominent liberals and they looked like they were looking for place to hide (aka sheep killing dogs)..also you had to love the bit on those wanting higher taxes to send in their checks/money orders--of course we've wore that angle out pretty much all ready. :)

What I didn't care for--after finally (7 years to late) trying to do something to cut pork--he then turns around wanting to finance dufar- aids in africa ect that cost 10 times the pork.

and saving the worse for last
--his idea for gov to partially finance parochial schools in inner cities so kids have option of school to attend.
Ridiculous from both sides of the spectrum--If anyone wants to fianace these schools the congregations have been doing good job for decades.Forcing tax payors to fund them is definate abuse IMO

2nd The schools would be big losers--with gov funding they have to bow to gov rules--like contaceptives for children--can't weed out those with felony rap sheets--Athiest will line up to attend just to file law suits--
bottom line -you would turn these schools into the very same your trying to avoid.

just my 2 cents

since when should government tax dollars go to Catholic schools? Evidently Bush knows nothing of separation of church & state either.

Bush: Faith helped me overcome alcohol addiction

By JENNIFER LOVEN
Associated Press

Published on: 01/29/08

BALTIMORE, Md. ? President Bush on Tuesday referred to his former struggles with alcohol as an "addiction," a blunt characterization of his less disciplined adult days before a reliance on faith help him turn his life around.

"Addiction is hard to overcome," Bush said in speaking at a faith-based center that helps former prisoners get job training and other help.

"As you might remember, I drank too much at one time in my life," Bush said. "I understand faith-based programs. I understand that sometimes you can find the inspiration from a higher power to solve an addiction problem."

Increasingly, Bush has reflected in candid terms about his days of drinking. Last month, he told some young recovering addicts to stick with their fight against drugs and cited his own experiences with alcohol years ago. He said then that "addiction competes for your affection ... you fall in love with alcohol."

Bush, 61, decided to quit drinking alcohol after a boozy night in 1986 celebrating his 40th birthday. He went on to win election and re-election as Texas governor before bidding for the White House.

The president spoke Tuesday at the Jericho Program, which helps former prisoners get their lives in order and contribute to society. The stop came as Bush sought to keep some attention on his faith-based programs, one of the themes from his final State of the Union address on Monday night.
