Every month I have ebay receive their seller fees thru my checking account (one of 4 diff accounts I have) well anyways thisnmonth the account on file didnt have sufficient funds in it. So to save a trip to the bank I paid my fees via Paypal. Today I find out that they debitedmy bank account AFTER I PAID THEM ALREADY. I had to go to the bank gert a stop payment on trans. 20.00 fee, blah, blah, blah
ebay has terrible cust service as well. I emailed them in March this year regarding a concern and I got a response in MID JUNE!!! They have no phone number either, WTF is this. I emailed them anyways regarding this error on their part. I just dont want them to keep trying to debit my account b/c I cant keep doing stop payments, otherwise I will close my bank account. Fact is I already paid them. ANy suggestions?
Thanks

I am not suprised about ebay. ebay now owns paypal, who is notorious for lousy and I do mean lousy customer service. They purposely bury their phone number in the website so you cannot find it. I'm not going to fall off into a rant here, I just don't have the strength anymore.

Their have been a couple of websites that are soley devoted to exposing paypal for the crooks they really are.

www.paypalsucks.com
www.paypalwarning.com

Check them out. The first one is the best. Click around and read some of the rants in the forum. lol

agree with stuman, I have had bad experiences with paypal and ebay even before they were united. Customer service is nonexistent, and they DO NOT read you emails thoroughly to gather your problem.

Best way by far, imho, to deal with both of these sites is to do it all on a credit card. That way, when you have problems, you have somebody on your side (credit card company) to help you with a dispute. I am currently still in a dispute with an ebay user I bought some VHS tapes from (they were poor boots) using a cc through paypal. The CC company has done much more on my behalf than I could have ever done. Short story is I never returned the merchandise and I got my money back. I never returned it because it was illegal, bootleg material. I did have my paypal account suspended, however, that's what they do when they lose a case ;) and they won't reinstate me until I pay back the purchase price (yeah, as if I'm going to do that!).

I also had my paypal account hacked into 2 years ago and a withdrawal of 250 bucks taken from my checking account. That took over a month to resolve, but I did get my money back. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER register your checking account with those crooks. If you do, make sure it is a small account with just enough money to cover your fees. paypalsucks.com great tell it like it is site.

Thanks Guys

Thanks Guys

I removed both of my bank accounts from Paypal
I withdrew the $$ in my account via ATM :)
I left a few bucks in there to cover fees.
I am going to open up a merchant account via the web, its cheaper 2.29% vs 3.0% and I have protection as well, software is like 300.00 though.
ANyone have any knowledge of a merchant bank that is inexpensive with great cust service and low cost monthly fees?
Thanks in advance
