Glad we are recovering but the government is 16 trillion in debt or a crap load more than when Bush was in office. Wonder how that is going to work out.

On the course!
When the Market dips to 7,000 again later this year, we'll see how the bottom line looks for "the economy".

I'm no expert on the matter of the economy and figure this is heading to the political page or mini dumpster shortly, BUT wasn't the economy worst in the Carter and early Reagan years? I remember the local paper of a city around 35,000 had only 2 regular HELP WANTED ads. Just askin some of you old timers.

Funny, I don't frequent the politics forum but I haven't really seen a bunch of threads griping about the current gas prices. Come to think of it, I haven't really seen any of the major media outlets bringing it up either.

Hmm, very strange.

Gas has been over $3.00 for a pretty big chunk of the time since 2007. It was over $4.00 as far back as 2008. I'm not seeing a huge news story here.

Gas will be 3 bucks a gallon or less, and the market will tank. It's the same old song.

I used to bitch about gas all of the time, but no one seems to give a fuck anymore. It's easy to get people used to bad things I guess?

Are you somehow insinuating that the media is turning the other cheek on this and giving a free pass on it?

Hmm, gas price reached their peek 4+ years ago. I am missing the relevance.

You sure were singing diff tune back when market tanked 2000 points in 12 days following election 2008 election results. I believe there were only 4 days in last decade that would have been worse to bail on than date you did when market closed at 6,763

We were discussing an author and book earlier and one quote immediately made me think of you..

?Those who were unlucky in life in spite of their skills would eventually rise. The lucky fool might have benefited from some luck in life; over the longer run he would slowly converge to the state of a less-lucky idiot. Each one would revert to his long-term properties.?
