Y'all Welcome

While I seriously doubt that was the point of her post, Pro, let me say it's nice to see another Badger getting into some Texan dialect.

The problem with some people is that they have only one guiding principle, self-preservation. That is as deep as the ethic lies. There are no rules, there is no morality, there is no higher calling, there is no character, there are no boundries or parameters for behavior or thought. There is only the bunker mentality of survival at any cost. The words that come out of their mouths change as often as needed. Their political views are nothing more than an extension of their own extreme selfishness. These people are frequently forced to defend a ridiculous argument because to admit fault or error might be perceived as weakness.

Those who think this way are separated from the animals only by opposable thumbs.

Maybe not her intention but it sure parallels the Liberal thought process :: Gidde up Cowboy

For the record: This post was directed at no one person, no one political view, no one socio-economic catagory, no one side of the aisle. It was directed at a group of people who (and yes, this is just my opinion, which I would have thought was clearly evidenced by the fact that I wrote it) need to evolve beyond a world view which sees life as nasty, brutish and short.

Self-seeking does not discriminate. It exists in all races, creeds, religions, sexual orientations, political parties, nationalities and genders. None of us are immune to it. No group with more than a handful of members can legitimately claim the moral high ground on this issue. I was not pointing fingers. I was discussing the human experience and what I see as the biggest challenge facing it.

Then again, my dad always told me that if you throw a rock at a pack of dogs, the one that yelps the loudest is the one you hit.

In other words, if you took offense to my post, perhaps you should ask yourself why.

One last point, I do not believe people arrive at this mindset because of circumstance. I have known those who have suffered the most horrific depravations imaginable, and they choose not to participate in self-will run riot. Conversely, I have known people who behaved and thought in this manner because they didn't get the bike they wanted for their ninth birthday. And all points in between, hence, no excuses.

YYZ and Penguinfan:

Love your humour. You two continue to crack me up. KMA has some great thoughts and things to say to both sides of our ongoing debate. We should all think about it.

By the way, YYZ, as we all know, my approach with the dyke softball hoard apparently bore no fruit. Helen won't talk to me and Miss Missy, I read, is engaged and about to be married.

By the way, I wish Justinsmom and her bride-to-be all the best in her upcoming nuptials. iwonder if her sister and my former girlfriend who I dumped is best man?

Based on my failures and incorporating some of the soul searching suggested by KMA, I have elected to try a new and novel (for me) approach with this obviously intelligent, thoughtful female.

Based on Penguinfan success with the Philly babes, as long as I don't adopt his approach I may have a fighting chance. I hear Penguinfan has written a book titled, " Babes, who needs em!".

No, wait.........he said, "Son, if you throw a rock at a pack of dogs, don't come cryin' to me when they run your fat ass down, and chew you to shit."

Dad garnered a lot of wisdom sniffing glue, and hiding from the draft.........

So what's your point, b/c I'm not drooling all over myself like you and Eddie about KMA's winded post that I missed her literal objective.
I'm sure for years to come scholars such as you will be dissecting
these Pulitzer prize winning works here at MJs and conveying the real message they hold in their encrypted text:
Thanks in advance for enlightening us
