I will be in your neck of the woods on Thrusday but only for the day. I have two meetings and I am flying in on Thrusday morning and leaving Thrusday night. But I was hoping you could give me some ideas of where to eat a late lunch. Thanks.

Mel:

What part of town you gonna be in? Downtown? Northern Kentucky? Let me know and let me know how formal/informal ya want.

Cinci has great ribs. Montgomery Inn is real nice. Bob Hope has Montgomery Inn ribs flown out to him in California. Then again, what does that 100 year old f***wad know bout ribs. Son of a bitch is senile. Maybe too heavy for lunch anyway.

Real informal is Skyline Chili. Too some its an acquired taste however. By the way, I just love an east coast girls accent. You can say "Thrusday" to me all day long.

Eddie the Sober:

I am flying into CVG, which if I am not mistaken is actually in Kentucky but I have a meeting in Cinn. I'm landing at 9:42am and I have a breakfast meeting then a 2pm lunch meeting. So breakfast should be okay you can anywhere for that, unless you know somewhere special. Lunch is going to be laid back business casual. Last time I was there I went to eat at some restaurant on the water it was fabulous. First time I have sushi.

Magnificent Melissa:

In the downtown area, I recommend:

1) Montgomery Inn Boathouse: casual. On the Ohio River, on the Ohio side, as indicated earlier best ribs in the world (falls off the bone). Recommended order: full slab of pork ribs, salad with house dressing (Italian.......reminds me of my sassy one and brings tears to my eyes) and the saratoga chips.

2) Palomino's. Overlooks Fountain Square. Little more formal. Small chain restaurant, out of Seattle I think. Food is different, but good.

3) Mike Finks. On the Ohio River on the Kentucky side. Nice view of downtown Cincinnati. This is a restaurant actually on the river on a barge. As formal as Palamino. Great raw bar.

I really like sushi. Love my California and Philadelphia rolls. And yes, you are correct, the Cincinnati airport is in Kentucky.

Let me know if you try any of my suggestions how it goes.

Hey Eddie....

How often, if at all, do you go to Argosy? We usually go there about every 2 or 3 months. Thats the only Indiana casino I've been to....but I've heard theres a couple other good ones.

Buckster:

Used to go way too much, very rarely nowadays. Problem is the Argosy is only 1/2 hour from my office in downtown Cincinnati. Way to close.

Grand Victoria and Belterra are a little further down river. Belterra had a great golf course and is probably the nicest of the three.

Marvelous Melissa, thought of another uniquely Cincinnati spot for lunch tomorrow. Try Arnolds on 8th street. Nice outdoor courtyard area for lunch. The bar/restaurant was opened in 1861 (not kidding). The food is a little newer than that.

Seriously, good place for a late business lunch. Lot of lawyer/judge types in there. Actually, I was there today with several fellow ambulance chasers.

Eddie, Thank you so much that was wonderful. It was so good service was good and seeing the muddy river wasn't to bad either. Plus the stadiums looked great. I am going to have to come in and see the Reds play I dont' have much interest in the Bengals but I am assuming you don't either. LOL

Thanks again,

Missy
