On another legal note, what happens if Waynes house actually burns to the ground today? Could the above post be used as very incriminating evidence of your intentions to commit said act?

In a normal scenario I may agree with you. Intentions to commit an illegal act alone is not a crime. It is the commission of the act itself which is a crime.
