For get politics for a moment....I have to ask; what are these concerned parents afraid of ???? Are they worried that someone else may influence how their child thinks ??? Do they what their child to think like them, never have a chance to think for themselves ? You can't raise children like that.... If you are raising a strong healthy minded child and you have open honest discussions with that child, what is the problem ???? These people sound scared, you can't live, life that way and should not impose your fears on your child... You have to teach children to respect authority in the face of authority but come to you with any concerns. I went to a private school, K -9.. One of the teachers said something that went against the foundation that my parents had set for me... I went home asked my Mother about it.. I'll never forget what she said : " If someone tells you to jump off a bridge, will you ?" These are the same people that give lip service to freedom of speech, personal responsibility and individualism... What are they afaid of ?????? Maybe it's just me.. My parents taught me to never accept anything face value from anyone.. They taught me to figure it out, ask why , come to them. I didn't end up thinking like my parents, I was taught to think for myself. These concerned parents are teaching their children dependency & fear !
