i have used norelco for many years & find it to be pretty effective. i have never used it to shave my head.

i'm afraid to use a blade because of my many bad bets.

I have tried Norelco, Remington, and Braun and there really is no comparison--Braun is the best. I've been using them for years. Just bought a new one a few months ago--#5610 and paid $60 or $70 at Target.

I have been shaving my head for over two years now and never have tried using the electric shaver. You can't beat a blade on the noggin.

Use a Wahl electric trimmer for your head or shave it clean with a Mach 3 Turbo or the Headblade.

I just bought the Braun 7680(?) a few months back. Previously I had never had the luck I have had with this razor. It is one of the ones that you put into the recepticle every mornign after you use it and it cleans itself, supposedly it makes a difference and I think it does. It did take about a month before it really shaved as smooth as it does now, but man its great.

Sorry, no idea if it shaves the pate...

i have the norelco 5821 XL. works pretty well. i used to shave my head all the time with it, and it was a huge upgrade for me when i first got it. i used to have the cheap $30 shavers. i think you get what you pay for with shavers. i paid $90-100 when i got it about 4 years ago and thought i overpaid, but i was happy with it. now i see it seels online for $57 or so. I would try to get a better one, maybe one in the $100 range, i don't think you can really go wrong, as long as the blades turn fast enough, which they will at that price. i dont' know much about any other brands.

as dragon said, you might wanna get the headblade. they have a website. you put the thing on your finger and run it across your head. i used it a couple times, but didn't like it personally. but i've never been used to using blades, so that's probably why. my friend uses it and swears by it, and it's gotten great reviews.
