If you get an email from me asking to click a link....don't. It takes over your email and spams everyone in your inbox. I got it from an email from my father in law. I have changed my password, but now it won't let me send email. I can send them from my phone account, but not my PC. Any idea how to fix it?

I've already run the anti-Malware type stuff.

Not being able to send might just be temporary.

Try testing from another PC. Your PC is likely infected. Some sort of Trojan that knows that you're logged into yahoo would be my guess. If you can send from a "hard" pc vs. a smartphone, I'd say that's the issue.

Best of luck. Here I was thinking that you were actually thinking of me.

Thanks for the heads up. I received 2. I would have definitely opened both and hit the links because it was very believable.

The emails read like this.....

Hey jack

This reminded me of you

I opened the first one, it's just spam. The guy running that site is probably making a fortune. Especially since he's sending out all this spam via hacked email accounts. He's probably making millions.

I felt really special that first of all he was thinking of me, and then to send me a specialized email with the spam. I mean I've received spam where it was obvious as there were a 1,000 people in the TO: line, but this one appeared to be just to me. Really kind of warmed me up. Now I come here and find out so many others got the exact same thing. Definitely not the way I wanted to start my Monday.

I just got an email from AT&T telling me I was successful changing my password.

I no longer have an AT&T account but am concerned about other things that could happen.

Spammers are getting much better. Hover over that link, and see is the best way to see if it's potentially malicious.

It's definitely AT&T. I called them and they said No Worries.

Yeah, looks like they go in to your address book and call people by "nickname" to make it seem more legit. This blows.
