Where it is real F ing COLD
I have called for Ponder to be benched especially when he gave away the first game in Lambeau but now seeing Webb I can understand why. Frazier should be embarrassed that this is what he has as a backup. I picked the Vikes to lose but it's so disappointing to not even have a chance. I respect the Pack for not running it up in second half. Was too hung over to post earlier!!

On the bright side the Vikes are about 5 players away from being a great contender. A receiver or two pending on Harvin (rumor here is that he will be traded) interior defensive lineman (Williams will be released) 2 linebackers mainly the middle (Brinkley and Henderson are worst starters in league) and a D Back (thin)
I guess a left guard Would be ok too

Look fir this team
To win the North and possibly choke in NFC champ game next year

When one of the five players is a QB they are alot farther away than one might think.

I think they are also a coach away but, that is the head coach.

Head coach is a huge problem in my eyes for the Vikings......it will be interesting to see if they can overcome not having a legit HC. Just my 2 cents.

So. Cal
so you're only need to replace 20% of your starters (one being the qb) and then you're a contender??

sounds like about 75% of the nfl

personally, think the queens are closer to the 4 win team they were last year than a nfc champ.....but that's just me.

I'm not saying they need a QB, I'll stick with Ponder. (If he busts then they are screwed) They are actually only a player or two away from contender, they are 20 percent away from being the amongst the best. They have a couple great players but they have some young studs.
The team that's going to be close to 4 wins hails from the Windy City

I have had my doubts about Frazier as well but they were so miserable last season. Brad childless set this team waaaaay behind.. I don't think there are many teams who drafted better the past two seasons. Maybe Washington but the Vikes are going to have 4 pro bowlers for sure and 5 for sure if Harvin is healthy.

Allen. Peterson. Khalil, and Harrison Smith.

Any team that has AP could be just a few other players away from serious consideration.

It would be so much easier and simpler to just quit rooting for the Vikes and transfer to being a Packer fan.....they are already good

Well I would rather eat puke. Some of my WI friends who rooted for niners and cowboys have jumped onto the pack. Vikes and pack will be battling for a while now. Hope AP can get a ring with em before he's done.

Hope the Pack does not resign Jennings, he will be in purple

Forget about Childress...what did Mike Tice do to the franchise? Every year Green Bay fans ought to send a box of Omaha steaks to Matt Millen for permanently wrecking the Lions and to Tice for putting both the Vikings and the Bears in the crapper.

What is the thought behind getting rid of Harvin. I know he is injured alot but, he seems to have overcome the migraine problem and he gained alot of yards this year.

To gjn's point, if the Cardinals had a good QB, I think they would be an immediate contender given their defense and the fact that they have talented receivers and third down back (Stephens-Howling).

Possibly the worst coach in all of football. Vikings have to start there.

Vikings need a mike wallace type....ap to pound the ball, harvin is best slot receiver in the game, and if they had someone with wallace ability to stretch the field, I honestly think they would continue to compete....rudolph is becoming a eite tight end.

we shall see

teams that jump from 4 wins to dd wins usually fall back to where they belong the following year (see det lions)...esp with that qb + coach combo.

think the queens are a 6 win team next year and the bears already have most of the personnel in place to win 9+ games if they get a good coach i dont see why they cant finally finish a season and make the playoffs.

The Webb backup experiment has failed, period! Ship his ass to receiver and let him earn his money, this solves 2 problems. Lets just hope to hell after he catches the ball he doesnt try and pitch it to someone.....

I think Ponder will be fine if given a receiver or two? Hopefully The Pack will not resign Jennings

If (hopefully) they cut Finley, the vikings can sign that jackass as well. He has talent, but he is a classless asshole-hopefully his time left in Green Bay is short.

Not sure what other cast-offs will be available to bolster the viking squad beyond that.

If the Vikings were smart, they would go after a trade for Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals are rebuilding, Fitz has history in Minnesota and he came from a cold weather school (Pitt).

I think that is doable although they would have to give up quite a bit but, for the Vikings, they have to pair Peterson up with someone now,

For the Cardinals, I would demand draft picks, an offensive lineman and either Rudolph or Gerhart.

I think that trade would be great for both.
