1. Brad Childress was far more destructive to this team than Mike Tice. Tice was never given full control, had a cheap owner who had the worst assistants money could buy. (Red McCombs) Word has it the team's facility had even the cheapest ass wipe money could buy as well. Remember the draft when the Vikings took Williamson and Erasmus James, Mike Tice was livid and was ruled out of the draft process.
Flip to Brad Childress who had all control to personnel. He was able to obtain picks for Culpepper just to trade up for T. Jackson :facepalm: The following year he did the same to draft center Ryan Cook then move him to tackle where he was dismal. Childress constantly took players too early in drafts. Besides drafting AP, his draft classes were poor. He was lucky the Organization obtained Favre and traded for Allen.
2. Comparing the Vikings to the Detroit Lions is laughable. The Vikes have drafted far better than Detroit the past 2 seasons. They have 2 future pro bowlers and Khalil and Smith. Last year's draft was good too. Ponder (iffy) Rudolph, Fusco. The Vikings have a solid offensive line and running game with potential on defense. Detroit;s offensive line and secondary are brutal. No running game whatsoever. Plus the Vikings are not going to lose anyone but just add players and their ownership will spend to the cap.
3. Bears haven't a chance in hell next year IMO. Gjn we aren't going to agree and yes we will have to wait and see, but you cut Ponder what about Cutler, what an over rated joke. The offensive line is a mess and that defense is ready for a geritol convention. The Bears rely on so many defensive TDs and turnovers that rarely happen consistently year to year. I think they get smoked next year but let's see what they do..
4. Harvin is likely to be gone because of his attitude which has worn thin. Rumor is he could of played but they put him on IR. I guess Frasier doesn;t like to be berated on the sidelines and Harvin had some choice words for Ponder. (warranted) but not like he did.
5. Frasier. Don't know what to think of the guy, sometimes he drives me nuts and yeah I would like someone else in there. He just doesn't seem to have it but team played much better than expected but I give that credit to Rick Spielman GM
6. Yeah I would love to have a guy like Wallace on the team who would compliment Harvin and Rudolph very well.
7. Vikes are not going to trade draft picks, Rudolph or Gehrhart and a starting O lineman for a guy who is 30 + years old, especially when they can sign Wallace or Jennings without giving up anybody.
8. Hate to say it but I would trade Jarred Allen while he has some value.
9. They have to fill the MLB position. Jasper Brinkley is absolute Joke..
10. Give Ponder the weapons and see what happens.

fitz can stretch the field more then anyone
id say give em gearhart and 1st round pick, and call it a day :toast:
No offense but the Cardinals are not going to give Fitz for the 23rd overall pick and Gehrhart.. They can get a much better deal than that from someone else.
Seen crazier things....team wants to unload money when they know they are 3-4 years away (fitz is getting older in football years)....adding a good rb in his 4th year and a first rounder...ya never know...
But ya prolly would take a 1st and 3rd atleast....
