End of Season Salami Trends?

So I got to thinking that over the last few regular season days the Grand Salami would likely go under as the playoff picture gets established and teams are resting players etc. Especially on days when there are lots of games like today. After a little internet research I couldn't find any stats to support one way or the other. This is purely speculation on my part... anyone have an opinion or better yet facts?
