Espn Nfl Simulator

I just came across something in the ESPN Insider section. Has anyone been following the simulator results? It simulates every NFL game and predictes results including spread, over/under, player stats, team stats, and fantasy points.

I'll see what is says and post it as an FYI.

Here's how it works... I also noticed that it's new, so this may be the first week it's been out.

Results are based on averages over 20 simulated games.

Each of the 20 games is simulated play by play with a degree of randomness built in.

Results of each play are based on the real life statistics of the offensive players involved and the defense.

A mixture of 2002 and 2003 statistics are used, weighted approximately 75% for 2003 and 25% for 2002.

Weather can affect the results of the simulation.

Daily Line results and team win percent represent a percentage of the 20 games simulated.

You can run the simulation as many times as you'd like and will spit out the % of times each team will cover and whether the game goes Over or Under.

After running each game a number of times I'm deciding to only post results where the % on one side is greater than 60-65% and never flips to the opposite side... I'll also use the lines that are posted on the site.

New Orleans -2.5 and Under 42
Buffalo -3 and Under 38
Cincinnati +1.5
MN -3.5
NYG Under 38
Jets-3 and Over 38
Tampa Bay Under 40
Seattle -11 and Under 42

The only problem I have with this is the fact that ESPN and Vegas are absolutly in bed with each other. Make no mistake about it, my local who is actually a friend of mine as well, told me he can almost guess which of his players will bet what just by watching the info across the bottom line of ESPN a couple hours before game time in any sport. He hasn't had a real job in over 8 years, what does that tell you.

Good luck either way, I know DR Strangelove does well with his X-Box plays when he has time to run them.

I'm guessing it can't keep this up, but I'll take a 9-3 any Sunday. I didn't come up with a clear play for the Monday night game, so I'll try and be back for next week.
