Where it is real F ing COLD
I play on a co-ed softball team on Friday nights, used to be a fun league, it still is but the captain has got a lot of local college girls on the team and other teams have as well so league is a little competitive, well anyways we ran a tourney and raised money for bats. We got a real kick ass bat that only the girls can use, we got it used, this bat is illegal for men to use in any league and they still make the brand of bat but not like this one. We got it for $200 from a friend who broke up with GF. To replace this bat online it's $500 - $800. What a diatribe.

Ok so unbeknownst to many the captain allows one of the girls to take it to a tourney. Well she says she went to the bathroom and it got stolen. We hear back that she got drunk an forgot it. Regardless she owed THE TEAM a new bat. This chick is like 21 making minimum wage and going to school so we know she can't fork out to get the exact kind of bat. So I had bought a bat that I can use in men's league but not coed. I tell her,why don't you buy us a men's bat for coed and ill bring my new men's bat that they can use. So she spends $180 on a men's bat for the team then puts her name on it. Captain says that's a team bat, not your bat. So 3 weeks ago she gets a little tipsy and asks, " why the fuck did I waste my hard earned money on a bat I don't even use?" I had to explain this again to her and the captain pulled out $180 and said ill reimburse you for the bat but you will have to pay more for a woman's bat. She got pist, and left crying. i text her the next day and said we aim to please, lets work this out but she said she can make it only one more week and will not be around for playoffs which screws us cause you have to have so many games in to be eligible. Long story even longer, captain said since you screwed us over the bat, you are done with us. What do you ya think? Why can't she get this? Women!

So is the etiquette question about the bat or whether you should post issues about your coed softball league on an internet message board?

Regardless, in the future I would limit the responsibility you entrust in others that you will eventually easily forgive because they are young with an athletic body and/or a nice rack.

I am at work and my client is asleep, so I am bored. I know it was a diatribe. For one I don't think this story was as bad as others I have read on here, but oh well can't please everyone. Two, I would of never borrowed out that bat. Three, I wasn't easily forgiving her cause of her rack or athletic body, I just easily forgive but I suppose her rack and ability help though. :0074

I don't agree with you much but in this situation I could not agree more let it be a lesson in negotiation tactics, there are always alternatives for men:SIB

the last time you negotiated with a chick with a bat, weren't you being mugged?
