Ho hum, boring boring boring, qualifying winners from 1837 and Stan ...
biggrin.gif

I'm on holiday in 2 to 3 hours as soon as I get Monday's early sports pages written - 8pm Sun nite NZ time at present. So, with the GP going around midnite and some Superbikes on before/concurrent, may become a petrolhead in the wee hours before sleeping in late while wifey gets the kids ready for school/pre-school - I'm sure she'll understand

Thanks again for the pingers..

my picks...

Barrichello 1.90 vs Montoya at SportsTAB

Starting side-by-side on the grid, so no advantage there. Montoya is perceived as quicker, but the facts are he has finished ONE race out of eight so far. Barrichello's figures are 5/8. Most places are around 1.75 for this matchup.

Coulthard 1.83 vs Montoya at Hills

DC starts directly behind Montoya, and he has finished 7 of 8 races this year. Montoya likely to spin, crash or breakdown. Must keep opposing him until he turns it around.

Burti 1.65 vs Bernoldi at Gamebookers

Not a price I'd generally take, but I had to find someone to oppose Bernoldi and the Arrows team with. Bernoldi has finished two races, while Burti drives a Prost (same as Alesi), finishing six of eight. Same row of the grid.

Alesi 1.80 vs Fisichella at Centrebet

This year's Mr Reliabilty against last year's version. Fizzy's figures this year are just 3/8, the Benetton is a brick with Renault engines. Only one spot between them on the grid, but much more between them comparing engines.

20c scalp on Villeneuve v Panis between Surrey (Villeneuve 2.10) and Starnets (Panis 2.10).

Throw in Villeneuve 1.87 over Irvine at GrandCentral as well.

Stanley... will you please tell me to stick to my first idea?

Oh.. i can't.... I'm a desperate gambler...

One more unit on De la Rosa +100 over fisichella and Verstappen over button! I'm against Benetton today! They will use for the first time the launch control for the race...

5 match ups so far with 2 two units play...

1837:

I was going to post a scalp opportunity. Oly had Button(+120). It's moved to +115 (-145 Verstappen). So it's gone.

But you are getting a superior line at Grand.

Thx for your great efforts. Much appreciated. Good luck.

to show you how i'm desperate, here is some prop play...

Playing 0.5 unit on Irvine +200 and 0.5 unit on De La rosa +400 on best finishes in group C at GCS.

Same with Group A at GCS with 0.5 unit on Ralf +150 and 0.5 unit on Barrichello +600.

should be enough... have to celebrate the St-Jean Baptiste now!

GL on the grouping wins, 1937.

Just a little too much chalk on those group odds for my taste. The summed %s equal 119%.

Hope u bag some winners, 1837. Enjoy the race.

1837,
Probably won't matter so much here as this is such a boring track and there are few incidents/breakdowns, but at least Button finishes.... 6/8 this year, as opposed to Fizzy 3/8 etc.

Fizzy 1.85
Button 1.95

I didn't necessarily mean them head-to-head, just comparing their relative stats.

Also, just got this from f1.com

Benetton will be using launch control for the first time this year, and so you can see the Benetton driver practising starts thoughut practice and warm-up.

this is why I love F1 betting so much....

I've gone through over a dozen bookies and found 35 different matchups.

Haven't even bothered to look at those that I have no access to this weekend.

Damn! I wasn't going to do this until I saw that Boris posted the ones I would have looked at

Not a good move as I can't even watch the race, but here's goes anyway ...

Race matchups:

Alesi to beat Fisichella -130 @ GCS [2 units]
Barrichello to beat Montoya -125 @ GCS [2 units]
Barrichello to beat Hakkinen -110 @ GCS [3 units]
Coulthard to beat Montoya -125 @ GCS [2 units]

Outrights:

Michael Schumacher to win +100 @ GCS [2 units]

Looks like we took too much money off Camelot last time

I found one and got some luck.
