So. Cal
or is everyone just SAYING everyone is on the giants and thus it becomes fact.

from the talking head sites i frequent:

vegas insider: 9-2 pats
espn: 39-32 giants
cnnsi: 5-1 pats
cbs: 7-2 giants
chi tribune: 6-3 giants

in summary:

106 "experts"
51 on pats
55 on giants

that's a pretty big sample size and sure doesnt seem like the EVERYONE is ON the giants.....seems split 50-50 (much like around here) which is about right for a super bowl with a 3 point spread.

At Green Valley it has been pretty much split among people I have talked to or heard talking about the game. Based on that and everything else I have seen or heard I think it is pretty close to 50-50. Which makes sense to me because I think the game is a toss up.

Listening to various radio stations throughout the week....I'd say a good 90% of predictions made were on the Giants! These were by analysts, players, and broadcasters.

you may think 90% is true but i guarantee it's not.....and quite a few of those "experts" are probably listed in the above findings.

what i've found it that MOST of the dialouge is about the giants.....but about half those people talking about the giants end up picking the pats.

also; didnt include a season long pool that i'm in with no "experts" and 19 have the pats and 11 have the giants.

Who cares bro, let's all enjoy the game. I hope this thread dosn't go 4-5 pages by game time.

this game can easily come down to the last 4 minutes with either team coming away with the title of champion via turnover or missed FG.

and in that case having picked either side will have proven nothing more than the luck of the lady was on that particular side and that particular time.

Certainly nothing pertaining a cappin' skill..

NOBODY CAN CAP THE BOUNCE..

now tell me I can play an adjusted side or total for odds approaching 5-1 or better..

now we are cappin' the dap.

good luck everybody..

cuz ya can surely believe a game with Hoodie in it with all the marbles on the table is going to be the chessmatch from hell.

REALLY - NO HE IS NOT-

haha... nah it's not 18-2, but he is like 80% on just his Superbowl pick. It's why he has a business. He wins his Superbowl pick and touts it the rest of the year while he loses.

So. Cal
the point of the thread was that all i hear is that everyone is on the giants.

you can post all the talking heads from those sites who are on the giants to feed into this misconception......or i could post the link to each site where i got my 55-51 numbers.....the fact is, it's pretty equally split between these two teams and the TWO main reasons i hear why the pats are the play is:

1) everyone is on the giants (wanted to find it if this was true.....and found out, it's not true)

2) kraft's wife died and they're winning it for her (sounds great but wont mean a thing when the game starts)

take whoever you want, i dont care. but i'm sick of hearing how everyone is on the giants when it's simply not true......in the end none of it matters; the better team today with fewer turnovers will win the game.
