the point of the thread was that all i hear is that everyone is on the giants.

you can post all the talking heads from those sites who are on the giants to feed into this misconception......or i could post the link to each site where i got my 55-51 numbers.....the fact is, it's pretty equally split between these two teams and the TWO main reasons i hear why the pats are the play is:

1) everyone is on the giants (wanted to find it if this was true.....and found out, it's not true)

2) kraft's wife died and they're winning it for her (sounds great but wont mean a thing when the game starts)

take whoever you want, i dont care. but i'm sick of hearing how everyone is on the giants when it's simply not true......in the end none of it matters; the better team today with fewer turnovers will win the game.

Who you taking?

or is everyone just SAYING everyone is on the giants and thus it becomes fact.

from the talking head sites i frequent:

vegas insider: 9-2 pats
espn: 39-32 giants
cnnsi: 5-1 pats
cbs: 7-2 giants
chi tribune: 6-3 giants

in summary:

106 "experts"
51 on pats
55 on giants

that's a pretty big sample size and sure doesnt seem like the EVERYONE is ON the giants.....seems split 50-50 (much like around here) which is about right for a super bowl with a 3 point spread.

Heres what I'm seeing and hearing almost uniformly from the NY side: the wrong teams favored, repeat of2007, bet all you want,so many people are so sure that it tells me they are missing something. My opiniin is the Patriots are the side most likely to be able to play better than expected ie beat the spread, because they advanced through the last round, played well enough to barely win but not cover. They know how lucky they were to get that win and will play extra well today.Think the Giants might have more trouble with NE d than many expect as unlikely as that might sound, but its an action play only for me.pats and under, 3 and 53.

well...i have $950 in open 2 teamers from nyg 2 weeks ago and the pro bowl last week.

i think the giants are the better team and will win but my line is ridiculous on the ny ml +110, so thinking of just sticking it to the man and playing both sides in the open parlays and hoping to hit them all with a ne 1-2-3 point win

nyg +3 (at -110)
ne ml -125

then again i'm not that smart or lucky....i tried the same thing 2 weeks ago with ny/sf (even though i liked ny) and cost myself 450 in parlay losers with the niners that would have been 1100+ winners has i put the giants in em all.

I've been listening to sportsradio all week and every pick I've heard has been the GMen. Now I've only heard 3 or 4 picks. So, who knows?
