QB for Iowa has 2 (TWO) fantasy points 1ST half....lol PITIFUL...Someone tell me again what a great coach they have...Seems to me you could find at least a FG somewhere after 30 days of practice and film work...Christ NWestern beat the TREEs....By the way i have Stanford but my son-in-law is huge Iowa fan...Painful for him right now....

Explain this logic further, please. It's not adding up. Does this mean Michigan has SEC speed since they blew the doors off the SEC runner-up? But wait, Michigan came in tied for 4th in the Big Ten, sooooooo? Michigan used to be Big Ten slow, but now they are SEC fast, but that's only good enough to get 4th in the Big Ten?

Maybe it is more about talent level and coaching. Alabama and Ohio State have top level talent with top level coaches. Teams like MSU have enough talent and decent coaching to beat the vast majority of their opponents, and will get lucky from time to time and knock off an elite team, but they will need a lot of luck to get through this playoff.

It may be the rich get richer theory ...Like the top Tier schools with their Stud coach's like Bama Ohio St (soon to be ) Mich and Stanford....IMO have the TOP Four Coaches in the game and kids want to win and get prepared for the next level...It's a business and they are treating it as such...But you MUST have a STUD coach and these four have it...These are not amateurs anymore...

Michigan will be in the hunt next year for the playoffs, recruiting will be top 5 this year. It's a new day in Ann Arbor ......:0074

Exactly. There are only a few elite coaches. You're going to have some elite athletes make programs into contenders but the coaches are proving to be more important than anything else. Look at what Harbaugh is doing with Iowa's discarded QB. He was a botched punt away from finishing in the top 6 in the country and Jake Ruddock was a disaster until Harbaugh finally got him tuned up late in the season.....and now he'll probably get a shot at playing in the NFL. If Brady Hoke is still there, Michigan is 7-6 and Ruddock is getting ready for Med school.

Alabama
It will be Michigan and Ohio State as the top dogs as long as Meyer and Harbaugh are the coaches.

and that folks is it in a nutshell.

that why these coach's visit the homes of these 16-17-18-19 year old sensations..

In hopes the more of the best of the best will join their minor league system for the future employment into the NFL...

To me it's not so much what conference is playing which conference, it matters on which players want to be in a bowl game, which coach's really know how to exploit a team's weaknesses to call the X's and O's and from there, which teams have good special teams and don't piss away the ball, which would give you an idea of how a game should play out.

Ohio St didn't show up vs Michigan St in their own yard. Michigan loses to Michigan St on a fluke by their punter not falling on the ball to make Michigan St do something with the ball. N'western played Stanford very early and Fitz knew Hogan's tendencies and Stanford's overall schedule was pretty good if you ask me, beating USC, ND, and how far did Stanford have to travel for the Rose Bowl? Basically a home game for Stanford.

N'western got picked apart on short hitch routes by Tennessee and an athletic QB in Dobbs, and Tenn team speed much better than Stanford's imo.

That sets up a nice championship game between suck as league ACC, Clemson vs SEC strong Bama? You don't go 13-0 by accident. Clemson last look has some pretty good athletes and team speed as well.

These games will make ya wanna go hmmmm.

Good stuff peeps!!
