You know I've wondered about that myself. I believe the powers that be think that making it more challenging will make games more competitive and drive more teams to go for two. I don't get that line of thinking. There is an incredible amount of practice that goes into the extra point, leave it alone

I cannot be alone in the fact that Darth Goodell needs to be rid of his job ASAP.

Attempting to force another team to LA

Attempting to force a team to London

Multiple rule changes in the pussification of my favorite sport.

Fucking up the draft for primetime ratings? Seemingly random different levels of
suspensions for things such as beating your child or punching your (future) wife
or doping. Or under inflating game balls. Totally all over the board.

I can name 10 ppl on Madjacks who would be a better commish than this Dbag.

Extra points are made at a 99.5% rate as it is. Regardless of the tradition factor, they have become a pretty ridiculous afterthought. I would be in favor of making them 30 yard attempts, but not getting rid of them.

Wait 'til you see how many knees are taken on that extended extra point near the end of games.

Now with the rule change there will be absolutely no surprise two point conversions

Something that is this good and they want to Phuck with it........

NFL changes extra-point rules

NFL changes extra-point rules
San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The National Football League's dullest play underwent significant changes on Tuesday at the owners meetings.

The owners approved the competition committee's proposal to have the extra point snap moved back to the 15-yard line. The two-point conversion attempt will remain at the 2.

The line of scrimmage for the PAT was previously at the 2-yard line.

The vote was 30-2, with the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders the only teams who voted no. The rule will be reviewed after one year.

Twenty six of the 32 NFL franchises didn't miss an extra point last season. Teams went 163-of-171 (95.3 percent) on field goals between 30-35 yards in 2015.

The league experimented with the extra point from the 15-yard line during last year's preseason. Defenses, who weren't allowed to score points on extra points before, can now tally two points if they return a blocked kick, interception or fumble. This rule is already part of the college game.
