Even though this is going to be true, I still have a problem with an over zealous 30 year old pussy stalking a minor only because he is packing heat.

Why do you draw that conclusion?

I'm not sure exactly where I stand on this and I'm sure I'll never get access to all the facts, but If Zimmerman was on the Neighborhood Watch, the real 911 tape can be presumed accurate and Zimmerman never pulls a gun until he used it to defend himself I think you are painting a different picture than what really happened.

AGAIN, I'm assuming a lot so I could be way off, I'm just curious that now actual facts are coming out (slowly) how you feel Zimmerman was acting as you describe?

George Zimmerman wasn?t ?chasing? Trayvon. Chasing someone implies you are trying to catch up to them ? there?s no evidence that was Zimmerman?s intention.

Stalking is probably a better choice of word.

Dispatcher: He?s running? Which way is he running?

Zimmerman: Down towards the other entrance to the neighborhood.

T Fresh: I think he might have tried to run home, but the statement about him running to toward the exit of the neighborhood is difficult to interpret. :mj07:

Dispatcher: Are you following him?

Zimmerman: Yeah

Dispatcher: Ok, we don?t need you to do that.

Zimmerman: Ok

He wasn't following/stalking him? Got it. :mj07:

Zimmerman: George?He ran.

I thought T Fresh asked why he didn't run? Sounds like he tried but the stalker caught up with him and he felt threatened.

Zimmerman had no reason to think he should stay in his truck ? he was reporting someone suspicious in his neighborhood and wanted to maintain visual contact with that person. He drove after them for a few minutes and the person ran away.

At this point, it makes perfect logical sense for Zimmerman to exit the vehicle to see where the suspicious person went, because he had just called them in to the police. Otherwise, the police would get there and Zimmerman would have no idea what direction to point them in.

Yeah, what sense would it make to stay in your vehicle when you are patrolling the neighborhood in the rain.

This fact is actually crucial to the case. Things would be different had Zimmerman actually been in some sort of hot pursuit, chasing after Martin, but he never was. Zimmerman wasn?t ever close to Martin, until Martin changed directions and confronted Zimmerman after the 911 call.

Zimmerman wasn't ever close to Martin???? I thought the confrontation sounded like they were pretty close.

Yeah I guess this is my own personal gut feeling. I don't think Z keeps stalking him had he not had a gun. I know a few gun nuts who carry, they are a different breed, I'm just talking the ones I know, packing heat up north is very taboo, so I don't know what it's like away from here, but back to the point, these heat packers have a heroistic mind set, had he not been packing, he waits for police and nothing happens. Strictly my opinion. If a 32 y/o man was packing heat and stalking my nephews, I would be fucking irate!

All these arguments are why I think manslaughter is fair.. Without his actions the entire incident could have been avoided..
However, the above arguments dont justify letting yourself get beat to death either..

Did he set out to murder a young black kid in cold blood? Was he smart enough to somehow instigate getting the shit beat out of him on purpose so he could justifiably shoot someone.. Think we give him too much credit. It was a perfect storm of horrible turn of events.. Zimmerman deserves to be punished... But not for the rest of his life IMO..

Yep and because the prosecution went for murder 2, he walks without nothing. I guess i would rather see that then send him away forever.

no, he did not set out to kill a young black kid. I think he should not have any charges against him and he is innocent, he was protecting himself, it was self defense, check out his head and broken nose, thats justifiable homicide in my book

Zimmerman did nothing wrong at all

read the facts of the case, thats all

think he was justified to shoot Martin once he was getting his ass kicked in and thought he was going to die.

I'm talking that he was morally wrong, his actions lead to the fight, should he be arrested for those actions, probably not. I think it is morally wrong to stalk someone when you are packing heat. He doesn't do it if he's not packing. Zimmerman is the reason why this kid is dead, no doubt in mind, but you can't prove it wasn't justified so he walks. Hedge you get pissed about the IRS and their tactics towards the tea party, I see a correlation with Zimmerman's behavior. Stalking a minor cause he was black and wearing a hoodie, that maybe OK in redneck Texas but to me that's morally wrong.

I think that statement is what's wrong about all of this. It turned racial. Do you know for a fact that he was following him because he was black? They had break ins in the neighborhood and there's someone going in between houses with a hoodie on. White, black, brown or whatever if I'm him I'm wondering as well.

I always tell my kids not to run in between the houses in our neighborhood. People see you thru their windows and wonder what the hell you're doing. Doesn't mean my kids should get shot but does draw attention when they do it.

Zimmerman was not profiling him, he was the neighborhood volunteer crime watch, what if the kid was white, or asian or hispanic, same thing happens, Trayvon happened to be black so its a big case since the race baiters found out about the case, its nothing like the tea party being singled out, its like comparing apples and oranges

Seriously? Wtf does the tea party have to do with a fucking thing.

It's a big case because it tests the Stand your Ground laws. Some people always make shit about race, especially here, that doesn't mean that race had nothing to do with it. Only Z knows what his true intentions were, making a statement like you just made would be like me saying you only want to see Zimmerman walk BECAUSE he killed a black dude.

Fucking drives me nuts when people try to bring stupid shit into the fray and blame it on everyone else.

Hope this helps,
FDC

My bad, I should take that back. When Z tells 911 "suspicious black male," it doesn't prove it was racially motivated cause he was black. So I should take that part out of it. Regardless this should teach wannabe cops and heroes not to stalk someone so closely that he can beat the shit out of you and possibly kill you unless packing heat. People can say Zimmerman did nothing wrong all they want but he should be charged with being an over zealous dummy who almost weeded ( no pun intended Hedge ) himself out.
