There are definitely some people here who have not participated in football. Especially above high school level.

There was nothing blatant about the hit. Did he lead with his head? Yes. Did he make up his mind to do what he did beforehand? Absolutely not.

If you fined or suspended anyone who hit helmet to helmet during a game you wouldn't have enough players to make the first quarter.

So what is the rule? You can only hit helmet to helmet when you don't hurt the other guy?

Don't bother quoting the rules to me; trust me, I know them. But, I am living in the real world here. This thread is a joke.

ur absoluetly right, 100% dead on ...

later in game Denver LB (wilson I think) did same thing to RW on run (crushed him head on), but it wasnt a pass ... Hmm, name me one play anyone has ever seen where a LB gets called for leading with helmet on a running play off tackle, sweep, up the gut?

kinda interesting huh ... whats the diff? well, its not out in open, i assume ...

Kennedy has a history and that was big part why flag was thrown... to me, he hit his pads FIRST, then tremendous explosion carried through, yeah try stopping a NFL athlete's MO, its like halting continental drift ... am I for cheap shots, injuries, of course not, just saying that was a very close call

others are right too, some people only see their team and cant be objective ... my fave gambler is one who can whine some about bad calls, then least admit they got beat fairly and had their chances, or gamblers who let it roll of their back and move on ...

Im guilty of whining my share, but I had Broncs big and they blew it in FH .. Broncs beat themself, fumble on goal line + inches from TD on pass to smith, and hold on FG to end half ... Fish didnt have a lot to do with it, nor did posting fans on this thread, none of us point and clicks has made an NFL play in our life ...

as Daredevil used to say, nuff said

gl to all,

HAVE YOU GUYS EVER F@CKING PLAYED FOOTBALL!!!

HAVE YOU GUYS EVER F@CKING PLAYED FOOTBALL!!!

what the hell. Football is a very fast sports and you cannot make a decision on where to hit somebody in a split second. Thats the danger of going over the middle. The person to blame in this inceident is the QB. Whoever made the comment, "this isn't touch football," is right. You gys are acting like a bunch of lil pusses. Its f@cking football, ITS A MANS SPORT.:thefinger

love the big hits,,part of the game.
But, watch for the dude that dances with his hands out basically claiming to be tough, when the other guy wasn't even looking.
Give me one on one with him! Man, I hate watching some of those guys.

My question is this: Right after the hit, i saw at least 2 flags thrown right by the play. But, there was NO infraction called nor was there any yardage stepped off against the Broncos. ??? Anybody explain?

Someone close to the league office told me that officials are instructed to flag early on violant hits and pick them up if consensus of officials disagree.
