I'm not at all outraged over the President and his plan to delay deportations. This does nothing to help people become legal citizens but simply perpetuates the slavery of folks here illegally... It would seem that since he is about fairness tho, that he give us regular taxpaying legal folks some delay in law enforcement too. We are actually here legally and doing as we should, so if the illegals are worthy of bypassing the law, we should be "thrown a bone" for the same period of time. Any legal citizen living in the USA for more than 5 years could get something like Free postage stamps, Free admission to Federal parks, removal of Federal gas tax from gasoline purchases, Free passports and memberships in the Fast Track travel club? Something?
There is, of course, no free lunch.
You want some free stuff? Reach age 65 and you get free Medicare, even if you never paid in one cent. Get cancer, chew up a half million bucks, pay nothing. At the same age you get free SS checks if you had a spouse who worked, but you, yourself, never paid in one cent.
Those two together will add up to a hundreds of thousands of dollars for many
Real 'mericans.
Or become a farmer. You get a ton of free subsidies, paid for by working folks who don't farm.
Or serve in the military for a few years, and get free medical care and retirement forever.
Or never pay anything for health Insurance and show up at an Emergency Room with a heart attack. They have to treat you whether you have any way to pay or not.
Or work cash jobs, pay no taxes and your kids get free education K-12. And free lunches. And you ride on free roads and get protected by the US military. For free.
