ATLANTA FALCONS +10.5 - Even though Michael Vick did not make his personal target of returning for this game, this still looks like a lot of points for an overrated Rams team to be giving. Then again, inflated Rams lines on Monday nights are nothing new, which helps explain their 2-6 ATS record in their last 8 appearances on Monday Night Football. I actually think that St. Louis will try to establish a semblance of a running game here, as they are facing an Atlanta defense that is allowing 153.0 rushing yards per game on a generous 4.5 yards per carry. This should result in some time-consuming drives, which would make it that much more difficult to cover a double-digit spot. The Falcons actually had the undefeated Vikings on the ropes last week before a couple of late scores accounted for the deceiving 39-26 final. They too will try and run the ball with Duckett and Dunn vs. a Rams defense that is allowing 4.8 yards per rush. While Johnson has been unspectacular at QB, he has still completed 60% of his passes, so he could keep the Rams defense honest with some occasional throws. The end result of this should be the Falcons putting up enough points to hang within single digits.
