Scott, Ive tried to warn alot players online about this game. I live in New Orleans and the emotional build up for this game is huge. People around the country have no idea how Katrina just altered or destroyed peoples lives. There are some parts of the city that still look worse than the middle east. The Saints returning to the Superdome for the first time since the storm , now 2-0, has this very excited. Monday night, there just not playing a regular season game...........there playing for the city of New Orleans. This game represents a city lifting itself up by the bootstraps and getting back to normal subsequent to a major calamity. You will see alot of tears on the Saints sidelines. You cant fathom what this city looked like afer Katrina unless you where here and saw it with your own eyes. The pregame party has already kicked off. As we speak Bourbone St. is going nuts. People in the city now realize with Sean Peyton in town, coupled with Bush and Brees.......,,this Saints team is not gonna be a doormat too much longer. Im not saying Atlanta might not come in here and win this game........but if you ever needed a team to be focused and completely motivated to make an earnest attempt to make you some money, the Saints are the play. For personal reasons Im not gonna wager on this game. This game transcends sports betting for my family and I. But if someone is backing Atlanta in this spot...........good luck.

Exactly my sentiments.

There are members of the Falcons team whose family's were directly affected by Katrina.

Everyone is America should celebrate that New Orleans can host a Monday night Football game now. Its achievement for which the city will be proud.

Reggie Bush is not going to like it too much if Mike Vick gets more rushing yards in the game than Bush does. Bush should shine in this game.

I cant help but remember the time when the Falcons were on a roll , running over eveyone. They were on a winning streak.

Then they went to Kansas City which was not a powerful team, and got beat 48-14 or something.

A defeat here is nothing more than a bump in the road with some easy games coming.

Let New Orleans have some pride in their lives.

I smell money and it smells green !

Let's just hope the league and the officials don't decide the outcome of this game. The NFL is beginning to resemble the WWF more and more each week. Did you see the official wave off the holding call in the Dallas/Washington game? He said, "There is no penalty for offensive holding on the play, because the defender was able to penetrate the offensive lineman." What the f**k? Good luck Scott!

Joe DeCamillis, the Falcons' special-teams coach, supported the move to sign Andersen.

"I've got total confidence in [Andersen]," DeCamillis said.
....................................................

Andersen hasnt played in how long now.

Does not bode well.

Scott, I agree about the sentimental aspect of the game, being the first game played at the SuperDome since I cant remember. I do know that it will be an emotional event, and a celebration.
Warrick Dunn is from New Orleans as are few other
Falcon players, but after the birds play NO's they have ARI,NYG,PIT and @ CIN. I think they will be focused and ready to play, despite all the "distractions" and thats not in any way meant to take away from this wonderful acheivement. It's just my humble opinion. take care ..Cabo...:sadwave:

Anyone putting stock in John Abraham playing in this game had better check his groin injury status when he played for the Jets. He healed very slowly with this injury and was out half a season when he returned too quickly.

I doubt that Abraham plays in this game.

Falcons should run all over the Saints. Falcons defense should hold the Saints in check.
Falcons should ........

Then lets remember that 95% wagers were on
Baltimore Ravens against a chit Cleveland team
at home.... Baltimores defense was going to murdalized the Browns....

Emotions win football games.

Saints in the past years had Aaron Brooks :142smilie

Saints in the past would be 0-2 instead of 2-0
playing for the division lead against a division team in the Falcons.

Falcons stall in the red zone alot. Now they have Morten Andersen as their field goal kicker. Does he have the leg at 46 to make the required field goals.

Anyways, Falcons may win this game and cover but its worth this wager to me.

Monday night football !

Home dog.

Go Saints

The Saints go Marching in

The Saints go Marching in

With the public heavy on the falcons, I think there is a tremendous amount of value on the 3.5 point home dogs. People bet on the "history of teams" ask your wife about the falcons, she will say that vick guy runs all over the field and is unstoppable. Ask her about the Saints and she will say who? You have to bet talking many factors in to consideration. For example last night, public on NE, problem is this ain't the same Pats.... many, many good players gone. The sheer emotion of this game will tip the scales in the Saints favor. Its an all in play for me getting 3.5 Alll In

It might help them at the beginning, but the Falcons are the superior team here. I'm actually considering going with NO on the ML. Only because I think Brees and Bush have great games, this game will be close. I'm not buying into the whole emotion, and for the city. Most of their key players wern't even there when this happened.

GL Scott, here is a trend for NO Home Dome Dog! this trend went 1-0 (MIN won) yesterday and I think it could go 2-0 after tonight.

Anybody know the overall records for this trend please post it. Did really keep track of the records but some how that phase is really how to forget.

If Allen Rossum stays in for De Hall this game is over. Brees will eat Rossums lunch.

So far so good.

Falcons are a horrible catch up type team.
