Sorry to those that i offended. I have just had a real bad experience with Fantasy Football, let me explain myself.
The league was made up of myself and 9 of my friends. This was a pay league and by no means cheap to get into so let me make a long story short.
Basically midway thru the league, two of the owners had the idea that since of the them was clearly out of the league he would relinquish his rights to his team and give authority to make moves to the other team owner. Essentially the team owner who took over control, now has two teams, two waiver wire positions, and so on. So the playoffs come and sure enough, the one team is almost in last place, and the owner with the other team is a stronghold to win the championship. the problem is that my waiver wire position was directly behind the now defunct team. The team owner who had control of his "defunct" team picked up a player that i put in a claim for but this player went to the team in front of me. So when the waiver went thru, i called my "friend" to congratulate him on his pickup and that he really screwed me over. This is the response i got "i have no idea what you are talking about. i havent controlled my team in since the beginning of the season." Understandably i flew off the handle and notified the commissioner.

Sure enough, the league owner who now controlled two teams was in the championship game with me. i lost the game, told the commish about who was in cahoots, won thru disqualification, but then didnt recieve the winner's payout. on top of everything, i got blacklisted from the league forever along with 4 other players for illegidly being involved in the scandal. i had nothing to do with anything.

my point is that if you have a team that is losing and has no shot at anything, and the owner is one that would "backdoor" the league, everyone else in the league has a problem on their hands, because its only a matter of time before he gives away his team to an interested owner.

I having been running a money league for about 8 years now and there are 2 thing we do to keep guy interested. .

1 It's a keeper league so you can keep 2 guy you draft after the 3rd round.

2 Is for the play-off the top 4 teams play for the money. While the bottom six play for who has a championship weekend party at their house. The team that finish last in a play-off style bracket has the party. So you could be in 5 place in the regular season and have to have the party. I' ll tell you it's almost more fun watch the guys at the bottom not that have the party is a big deal. It just pride know one wants to have tell their wife they came in last and have to have the party.

Shouldn't you be getting ready for Baltusrol or at least the Mixed Member Guest at your local dog track........in where again? Indiana? I'm trying to think of the last time there were any PGA events in that beautiful state of Indiana. Hmm, I'm drawing a blank here. Probably because there are just so many great golf courses as well as players out there, the PGA Tour just doesnt feel it is necessary.
