Fantasy Football Playoff Tiebreaker? What does you league use?

Ok our league has never really determined what the tiebreaker should be, if a game were to be tied in the playoffs. We almost had one last week. Since I am the commish I would ike to establish what it is before tomorrow in case we have a tie in the next round.

Just curious what your leagues use, I have seen higher seed wins, bench points, a certain position with the most points.

I am leaning towards most QB points as the tiebreaker, but just wanted some input.

If you use yardage for points use the decimals...ie if Larry johnson has 124 yards make it 12.4. All of those other options are really unfair this alte in the game....who cares about their bench now, or why is QB now suddenly the most important position?

I of course am a bit jaded...I led my league in points and didnt even make the playoffs.

I don't like bench points, b/c some people might have people on their bench who don't even play, another guy might have 3 QB's who would score more than most other bench positions.

I am just hoping for no ties, but need to have a tiebreaker in place just in case.

7. Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s)
8. Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen
9. Most fantasy points by starting linebacker(s)
10. Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s)
11. Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s)
12. Random "coin flip"

I think I may use that Total TD's scored by the roster.

We turn in two extra players to serve as tiebreakers. If both of our No. 1 players are tied it goes to the No. 2 players. If that ends up in a tie, then it goes to a coinflip. But we use decimals like Sun pointed out before, so it's VERY unlikely we'll even go to the tiebreakers. Just to cover our bases.

We pick 3 players from our bench and rank them. If first is tied, you go to #2. Our rule is that you can only choose 1 player per position.. IE only 1 QB, 1 RB, 1WR

We also have a rule that you cannot pick up players after the playoff start. If you can pick up players, my advice would be to find a defense that is playing a week team. Most point scorers in terms or QB's/RB's/WR's are gone, but defenses have the ability to put up a lot of points.

We use the decimal system and never had a tie all year. Talked to another Joe last night and his league tiebreaker was kicker points for that week, wtf?

In one league we use Total Bench points.

Others, it is a tie

We use the total of the bench to break ties. We used to use that you pick 1 player a week from your starting lineup but it is easier to just use the bench. If you make it just the QB it could be an advantage to some teams.:shrug: Merry Christmas to you and your family. We missed you in the league this year.
