Championship week for a lot of folks. I will more than likely be up against my female neighbor, figuratively speaking.

Woodson, in regards to sitting LT against Tampa I'm not sure what to do. LT hasn't been himself this year and Tampa gave up serious yardage to some pretty good running teams. Of course if I do sit him he will no doubt go off. I'll probably play it this way this week.

Pigpen
Calvin J.
Bowe
Rhodes, LT, D. Ward, or waiver wire
Colston- Flex
Cooley
Rackers
Tenn D

Good luck all and finish the drill. :00hour

Will do my part to discuss scenarios this week, as my interest is high. I was fortunate enough to make it into 2 championship games in my 3 leagues, and probably more surprisingly I made it into the consolation round "championship" game in the third one, which would give me back 75% of my entry fee - and I thought all was lost there.

Really busy today, but I'll post more as the week goes on. Let's Go MadJackers! :mj06:

This being my first year in FF I don't know how you guys manage to do it having multiple teams. That said is it really that difficult if you've been doing it for awhile.

I think this time of year you stick with the backs that got you here. I am a huge Bucs fan but have seen the writing on the wall these last couple of games. The problem is that SD is coming from the West Coast, and Tampa is playing at home w/ knowledge that Kiffin is leaving to coach with his son at Tennessee... I can see them stopping the run at home, but how do you sit such an explosive runner like LT?

I'll think more about it today.

LT is the one back I've used consistently throughout the year even though he's been inconsistent. May think about picking up M. Moore or Fast Willie if Haynesworth is out next week.

BTW were you at the Dome yesterday. NFC South home teams 11-0 so far. Weird.

We turn the wire off in our league moving forward...

Is that the norm? Always have frozen trades and wire in time for playoffs...

Trades were frozen as of November 28th. Those folks out of the playoffs are no longer able to drop and pick up. As if they needed to. Some schmuck in our league, out of the playoffs, dropped a couple of high quality folks (F. Gore and R. Moss) and picked up Plaxico and Johnnie Lee Higgins. I think some funny business was up with that but the folks who benefitted have been knocked out. Commish took care of that problem. Waiver wire is still open for playoffs. Don't know what the norm is as this is my first year doing this.

In all of my leagues, we cut off trades around the end of October, but the WW stays open until the end of the season with the caveat that only the teams still in the playoffs are allowed to pick up or drop players to prevent any funny business like ga_ben described.

Unfortunately, I have been ousted from the playoffs in all of my leagues; however, I will try to post up some rankings about Wednesday or Thursday to help those of you still hanging in there.... GL, fellas! :SIB

HELL
I'm in the finals too, with....

Brees

Jennings
Bryant
Holmes or Edwards

Rhodes or Addai
Lynch
Barber

Clark

Bironas

Pittsburgh

I hope Addai is out so Rhodes gets all the carries again. Have to sit Barber just because of who they play regardless of his health. Might switch Holmes out for Edwards, given the latter is at home with Cincinnati.

Good luck guys.

All,
My Championship is over and done. We have a two week format for playoffs ans only four teams make the playoffs so you have to play them twice and the highest combined score wins. I hated it until I knocked the shit out of my opponent by 53 some points. The Championship came down to a fight between my very good friend and I and we decided before the season, as I knew of curse I would win.......LOL, that we would split the purse evenly if we both made it so that is $500 or something of that nature. Anyway,

It is my thought that I would not sit LT in favor of any of the backs any of you mentioned. He is most likely the first to third pick in your draft when you had it. While his year has not been a good one neither has his press and this gae sets up very well for him indeed. If you saw the last performance by the daunted defense he is going against there were several missed tackles and several missed assignments. Also the passing game sets up very well against the cover two that they like to run that will get you those first and goal situations at the two yard line. LT is still LT. I play fantasy everything I have learned over my many mistakes that superstars are always that.

Now if a guy like Pierre Thomas is available as he is a budding star and defenses haven't figured out a way to stop him yet simply due to the fact that most teams gear their run defense to stop Reggie Bush andare not prepared for the strength of Thomas. He would be the only back I would substitute for LT. Also there is a reason Ward is not the starter on the Giants and Sunday showed you why. Sit him. While RBs get more touches you may want to look to the waiver wire for a good flex option as there are many out there and I would imagine Selvin Young may be one of them. Domenik Hixon would be an excellent pick up as he will net 100 yds and a td next week. JMFUO

Hope this helps,
FDC

I'm in a neighborhood league and drew the second overall pick out of the hat. The first draft pick went to my neighbors across the street who happen to be Canadian and their team is aptly named The Canadians. They screwed up and made Mason Crosby the #1 pick of the draft. :sadwave:

Anywho will prob. stick with LT and more than likely go w/ Pigpen over Rivers.

Woodson you got some stud backs. Why just 1 receiver?

We have a 3 rb league and 1 receiver or 2 rb and 2 wr league...

I agree with the Shaun Hill at QB against a lowly St. Louis secondary...

Hard to put faith in any of my qbs...

A lot of coin at stake as a win puts me in the Championship Game!!! (of course)

Championship week. Congrats to all that are playing this weekend.

This is my 2nd trip to the 'ship in the last 3 years.

We play standard scoring / no ppr
1 Qb, 2 Rb, 2 Wr, 1 Te, 1 K and 1 team def

Trades have been cut - Waiver wire open all year

QB - Cutler

Wr - Randy Moss, Roddy White

Rb - Marion Barber, Frank Gore, Deshaun Foster, Dominic Rhodes, Pierre Thomas, Justin Fargas, Maurice Morris

TE - Antonio Gaters, Dustin Keller

K - Garrett Hartley

Def - Cowboys and Giants

Went RB crazy the last 3 weeks dropping Plax - :sadwave: - and Devery Henderson

This week will roll with Gates and the Cowboys - RB wise, leaning Pierre Thomas v detroit and the healthier San Fran Back v st louis

Good luck to y'all :toast:

Alright have my first problem tonight. Do I start Rhodes as one of my backs? Not sure how much Addai will play. RB has been my biggest problem this year. Drafted LT and Fast Willie as my top 2 backs and they've underproduced. Then Felix Jones went down. So this is who I have- LT, Rhodes, Ward, Mewelde Moore and Cedric Benson. I could pick up Fast Willie again but. . . kurby

Is it sad that I'm considering Cedric Benson?

Rank Name Vs TD Sack Int Fumble Points Yards Fantasy Comments
1 Chicago Bears GBP 1 4 2 0 27 275 14 Scoring on a regular basis.
2 Detroit Lions NOS 1 3 2 0 38 475 13 I'm seeing them score this week, but otherwise, this is a unit worth avoiding up against the potent Saints.
3 Green Bay Packers CHI 1 1 2 0 34 425 11 Last week's loss will have taken even more steam out of this unit.
4 Arizona Cardinals NEP 1 2 1 0 21 300 10 Won't be able to contain Cassel enough
5 Houston Texans OAK 0 3 2 1 13 250 9 Playing well these days
6 Pittsburgh Steelers TEN 0 2 2 1 17 295 8 Stingy as always. Ravens have gone cold and Steelers will smother them.
7 Dallas Cowboys BAL 0 4 2 0 17 290 8 This unit is highly motivated; 15 sacks in last two contests.
8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers SDC 0 2 2 1 24 350 8 Will play big for Monte's last two games
9 Tennessee Titans PIT 0 3 1 1 17 300 7 Ravaged by injuries, but looking to make a statement against Pittsburgh
10 Cleveland Browns CIN 0 3 1 1 14 280 7 Available on waivers all season and now they are the must have? High risk at this point.
11 Baltimore Ravens DAL 0 3 1 1 24 330 7 Begging for help from the offense. This side of the ball is getting it done!
12 New York Jets SEA 0 3 1 1 20 320 7 Expected much more from them last week vs Buffalo
13 Miami Dolphins KCC 0 3 1 1 17 320 7 Should be a good play on the road at Kansas City this week
14 San Diego Chargers TBB 0 2 1 1 24 350 6 The Chargers are in must-win mode; you could do worse.
15 Carolina Panthers NYG 0 2 1 1 24 300 6 Not a sexy fantasy D but gets it done on the field
16 Indianapolis Colts JAC 0 2 1 1 13 275 6 Should be able to get after Garrard
17 Atlanta Falcons MIN 0 2 1 1 24 300 6 Will need to stop the AP/Chester train to win this one
18 Minnesota Vikings ATL 0 4 1 0 27 275 6 Falcons will probably be conservative in this one.
19 New England Patriots ARI 0 2 1 1 21 330 6 Will have their hands full with Warner
20 New York Giants CAR 0 3 1 0 17 310 5 With offense sputtering, this unit must step up in matchup of top two NFC teams.
21 Philadelphia Eagles WAS 0 3 0 1 23 290 5 Opposing QB does great job of maintaining possession.
22 San Francisco 49ers STL 0 3 1 0 20 295 5 Sleeper pick this week because the Rams are so bad
23 Buffalo Bills DEN 0 1 1 1 27 360 5 Maybe if they weren't on the road this week at Denver
24 Seattle Seahawks NYJ 0 1 2 0 30 310 5 This defense has struggled stopping anyone
25 Oakland Raiders HOU 0 2 1 0 24 360 4 Against the potent Texans offense? I think not.
26 St. Louis Rams SFO 0 2 0 1 24 305 4 This defense continues to be bottom of the league
27 Denver Broncos BUF 0 2 1 0 20 380 4 Look elsewhere.
28 Washington Redskins PHI 0 2 1 0 24 350 4 Should be better options available. Very potent offense they're up against this week.
29 New Orleans Saints DET 0 2 1 0 17 300 4 Not a viable start
30 Jacksonville Jaguars IND 0 2 0 1 24 375 4 Another chance to show they haven't quit yet
31 Cincinnati Bengals CLE 0 1 1 0 20 300 3 This should be a low scoring game. More to do with stale offense then good defense.
32 Kansas City Chiefs MIA 0 1 0 1 23 400 3 Miami is on the verge of breaking the NFL single-season record for fewest turnovers.

Decided to go with Rhodes and he got me 14.90 points. Nice start to my Superbowl but a long way to go. Anyone having problems deciding between Dallas & Tennessee defense this week?
