I've only played a couple free plays Fan Duel. I read some articles that stated this ?[T]he top 100 ranked players enter 330 winning lineups per day, and the top 10 players combine to win an average of 873 times daily. The remaining field of approximately 20,000 players tracked by Rotogrinders wins just 13 times per day, on average.? [Bloomberg]. My question is do any you guys show a profit betting on this & how often do you play ?

I have played on fanduel for about 4 years now (NFL only). Usually play 5-7 tournaments each week spending $75-$125 a week. The most I have ever won in a single tournament was $250. I finished 586th out of 114942, this was last year in a $25 buy in tourney.

Some shady stuff definitely happens. Good example was last night when I was looking through the live rankings. The first place guy had 7 entries and every one of them was the same. Shady to me that not only does he have 7 of the same entries, those 7 entries just happened to be the top line up. No real way to keep tabs on every lineup in a contest with over 100,000 entries. Best advice I could give is to play the 50/50's, they wont pay as much but your win percentage will be much better than the scam bigger contests.

Someday the fantasy sites will get sued for their false advertising and the scams they are running, until then I will continue playing them realizing that I wont ever become rich doing it but it's fun trying.

If you think people aren't using algorithm's and statistical analysis to win in these tourneys with multiple entries, you'd be DEAD WRONG. I mean I did it for shits and giggles and won a few bucks off it last year with FanDuel and DraftKings. However, there is definitely some shady stuff going on. Don't believe their bullshit commercials, you won't get rich doing it.

There's no shady shit going on. You're just getting outbankrolled. You have to get ass lucky to win one of those ridiculous multi-entry ones. Most pros enter about 300 entries a day. Certainly not all unique lineups. They just have more money than you and are willing to throw it around. And of course they are using statistical databases and probability counters that you and I wouldn't understand. So much dead money on those sites and tons of overlays if you know where to look. It's a billion dollar industry.

The only people that are getting rich off of those two sites is the ownership group that take 10 percent, they are just legal bookies

I play in the free contests weekly and in the mj league
