Exactly. There was zero chance he was going to retire, in my opinion. He just wanted to stretch it out as long as possible to get as much media attention as he could. He's either the biggest sadist in the world (making the Vikings squirm), or the biggest attention whore in the world, or maybe both. :142smilie
Really looking forward to watching the exact same thing next year. :sadwave:
Yeah..some of it was for attention, but what he's done the last two years is more of a business decision IMO. Especially this year. He so called "retired" to avoid getting fines from the Vikings/NFL since he knew he wasn't going to training camp. If he tells everyone he's retiring knowing in his mind he's coming back he avoids any fines. Then he makes the dramatized coming out of retirement decision and avoids the fines PLUS getting paid the contract $$ again. He's not a stupid guy obviously. They should just make a Brett Favre rule that he can do what the fuck he wants to do because he's Brett Favre and that would eliminate the drama of him just wanting to avoid the mini camps, meetings and training camps which bottom line is the reason behind all of this. I'm glad he's back personally...makes all Vikings players stocks go up for fantasy and gives more of a spark for the NFL.
Are you kidding me??? 33 TD's/7 int last year!! Yes..all the drama retirement crap gets old, but he's GREAT for the NFL!! A 41 year old man who probably should hang it up keeps hang'n with the young guns of the league!! I love it that people hate him cuz the more the haters the better he seems to do. As long as he keeps putting up numbers and winning I'm all for him playing. If he starts to consistently fail and just play because he's stubborn and won't quit then I'd start to have a problem, but he can still sling that pigskin with a solid offensive line!
