Effective at end of season it was time, changes had to be made. They're going to need some good draft picks on the o-line and hopefully a good middle line backer. He's a good guy but it didn't work out this year all not his fault. Who do you guys think will fill the vacancy?

he wasn't really fired. he probably was going to get fired after the season. i just heard ernie acorsi on msg & he said that fassell went into tim mara's office & told them it's best that an announcement be made that he was not coming back next year. his only request was that he be allowed to coach the remaing games for this year.
i never liked fassell. his team's are not disciplined. if i was the owner of the giants, i would have fired fassell right after what happened in last years playoffs vs. the 49ers. not only did they blow the game, but the special team play & the personal fouls that were called against the giants showed their lack of discipline.

nice to see a fellow LI'er and suffering Giants fan on Madjacks. I hope they bring Coughlin in, but fassel had to go, wore his welcome out, had a decent run but it is surely time for a change

the guy`s a decent coach....i think there`s a lack of leadership and character on the giant club......on the field..
the offense was putting up tons of yards early in the season....barber can`t hold onto the ball...collins is a choke artist.....
this team has alot of talent....very little character... the new orleans game was a travesty....that team quit...it galls me to see guys that play a game for hundreds of thousands of dollars not have enough pride in themselves to continue to compete....
he had to go...i agree....but they`d better get a parcells type in there....these guys need a taskmaster to crack the whip on their unfocused,prideless as-es.....
