Welcome to the fatten your wallet play.
I have been running the topic now for the last 10 weeks and we are 8-2.We are currently on a 4 game winning streak. Our latest winner last sunday was the Bengals as a dog in Pittsburgh.Let`s look for 5 in a row and try to bring our record to 9-2 with this fatten your wallet play.

RAMS OFFENSE VS. VIKINGS DEFENSE

Ryan Fitzpatrick's second NFL start didn't go quite as well as his first. Two weeks ago in Houston, Fitzpatrick came in at quarterback after Jamie Martin went down in the first quarter. The rookie out of Harvard then led the Rams to a win by throwing for 310 yards and three TDs. That performance put Fitzpatrick on the map, but he wound up with just 163 yards with no touchdowns and an interception against the Redskins. Torry Holt (75 receptions, 1,017 yards, 7 TD) led the Rams last week with six catches for 75 yards. Veteran wideout Isaac Bruce (22 receptions, 362 yards, 3 TD) added with four receptions for 33 yards. St. Louis has the second-best passing offense in the NFL at 265.7 yards per game.

Minnesota's defense did an excellent overall job against the Lions, but they had the greater success at stopping the pass. The Vikings held Jeff Garcia to just 17-of-35 passing for 126 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Cornerback Antoine Winfield, the team's leading tackler this season, posted five of his 75 stops in the win. Safety Corey Chavous (50 tackles, 2 INT) notched three tackles and an interception. Rookie defensive tackle C.J. Mosley (13 tackles, 3 sacks) had Minnesota's only sack of the game. Overall this season, the Vikings are 23rd in the NFL with 216.2 passing yards allowed per game.

The Rams couldn't establish the running game against Washington and ended with just 49 yards on the ground. Steven Jackson (869 yards, 7 TD) carried the ball 11 times for just 24 yards in the loss. It was the second-lowest rushing output for Jackson this year. Jackson, a second-year back out of Oregon State, is just 131 yards away from his first 1,000-yard season. Fitzpatrick displayed his mobility, scrambling five times for 22 yards and a TD. Former league MVP Marshall Faulk, meanwhile, carried the ball just once for three yards. Faulk has just 150 rushing yards this season. St. Louis has the 26th rated rushing offense in the NFL this year, posting 91.6 yards per game.

Minnesota has the 18th-rated rushing defense in the NFL this season, averaging 112.4 yards allowed per game. Last week, the Lions rushed for 105 yards despite playing without leading rusher Kevin Jones. Artose Pinner led the attack with 64 yards and a touchdown. E.J. Henderson (51 tackles) posted six tackles, while fellow linebacker Sam Cowart (59 tackles, 1 sack) added five stops. Nose tackle Pat Williams, who is third on the team with 53 tackles, had just one against the Lions.

VIKINGS OFFENSE VS. RAMS DEFENSE

Johnson has been getting better with every game and last week he turned in a strong performance. The 37-year-old QB registered a season-high 139 passer rating, throwing for 256 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-23 passing. Johnson has had a QB rating of over 100 in three of his five starts this year. Koren Robinson (16 receptions, 290 yards, 1 TD) also had his best game of the year, hauling in four passes for 148 yards and a TD. The score came on an 80-yard pass from Johnson in the fourth quarter. Marcus Robinson (27 receptions, 424 yards, 5 TD) added three catches for 32 yards. The Vikings are ranked 21st in the NFL with 200.2 passing yards per contest.

The Rams surrendered allowed Washington quarterback Mark Brunell to throw for just 156 yards, but that was because the Redskins didn't need to use the passing game thanks to their ferocious rushing attack. Brunell had an efficient day posting a QB rating of 104.7 -- his highest mark in six games. Defensive backs Ronald Bartell (18 tackles) and rookie Jerome Carter (35 tackles) each posted seven tackles. The Rams' defense failed to record a sack in the game. St. Louis is allowing 240.3 yards per game this year and is ranked 28th in that category.

The Vikings haven't had much success running the ball this season, averaging 92.4 yards per game (24th in NFL). They were slightly ahead of those numbers last week, rushing for 103 yards. Michael Bennett (279 yards, 1 TD) led the way with 79 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Mewelde Moore, who leads the Vikings with 551 yards on the ground this year, had just one carry for minus- six yards. Bennett (knee) and Moore (quad) are both listed as probable for this week's game.

St. Louis' defense is ranked second to last in the NFL this season and it showed why last week. The Redskins racked up an amazing 257 yards on the ground against the Rams with Clinton Portis and Rock Cartwright each running for over 100 yards. Chris Claiborne (39 tackles) notched a team-high eight tackles, while fellow linebacker Brandon Chillar (29 tackles) added six stops. Defensive end Leonard Little (39 tackles, 4 sacks) made seven tackles to lead the front four. St. Louis is 30th in the league with 138.8 rushing yards yielded per game.

The fatten your wallet play is the Rams +7

Already on it!! I am a firm believer that Minnesota is a complete fraud. This will be the first team in 3 weeks that has any type of offense. Like the over as well. GL2A.

Yeah Fitzpatrick has gotta show me what he can do on the road before I support him. Neither of these teams should be favored by more than a FG in this one though, but I guess Fitzpatrick as the X factor is enough of a wildcard for some people to lay the chalk. I liked the OVER at first, but if Fitzpatrick struggles that will be shot to hell too, so Imma sit this one out

We're bumping heads in a way because I have the Vikings -0.5 in a teaser but this one could be close and both of us could cash our tickets if the Vikings win but don't cover.

Good Luck! :mj14:
