Is it me or is almost every favorite -220 and above losing this year. I am 0-6 on parlays which are almost always favorites that I like but the line is more than I am willing to play. I know in games started by Pedro, RJ and Schilling ... their teams are a combined 0-9 so far and yesterday, Prior as a huge fav gets ripped, Oswalt and Zito over the weekend both got ripped. I know it will change over time and huge favorites will win more than they lose although with the juice you are better off on the doggies. This is just unbelievable! Is anyone out there tracking this so far this year? I assume Fletcher and some guys who like to play big faves as well as parlay them like myself must have a good feel as far as how bad it's been early this season.

I agree 100%

I agree 100%

I hate to lay heavy wood on the favorite. However I will add them in a parlay. It seems like my first pick always wins which is a dog or a small favorite. Then I figure -220 -400 with the second team I'm a winner. NOT! Like a lot of cappers on this board I am now steering clear of heavy chalks. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Yup.....Before all these losses I was living nice.

After the losses, I am living off Ramen Noodles and SPAM sandwiches and chit stew, I had to sell my body to science for 10 bones so that I could bet on some tennis player that I never heard of, who lost. Now I am going to go and see what I can get out of some old rags at the second hand store so I can bet on a -2000 boxing fav to win 50 cents just to say I won a bet in the last week. Not to mention the RedWings made my good looking wife leave me, and after I won the Carlos Moya bet this mornng, there is some Betty that sits across from me at work, with a couple missing teeth and hairy legs that is looking mighty fine. Here she comes......she said one more heavy juice winner and we are headed for a hot date at the Waffle House!

Todays favs that fit the category are:

Dodgers -220
Red Sox -260
Twins -250
White Sox -230

I would guess at least 2 will lose today... hopefully the Dodgers and White Sox cause I have the dogs in those games.

I believe if you add up Johnson, Schilling, Pedro and Maddux's starts this season they have one composite win. Needless to say, the risk/reward isn't worth it.
