Burning the midnight oil.... As I mentioned in Hawks thread, the fucking PG&E cut off power to several counties/areas in CA, and what pisses me off about it is the Company just filed bankruptcy because they were sued by folks in Paradise, CA for loss of life and property due to their faulty wiring and this is their message to people that "you can't live without our product and service so screw you". Of course, PG&E said it was a safety measure as the forecast called for high winds, but the irony is that there wasn't any wind at all. So many people lost millions of dollars as their food went bad and local businesses had to close (unless they had a generator). Complete bullshit, and PG&E needs to firm up their infrastructure and quit taking it out on the rest of the population. Fucking company got sued for 8 billion, which they probably had in their shoebox, as they've been gouging California for years....... Sorry,

Thanks as always for your picks Riff. Very sorry you and millions of others went through that. Of course, the utility knows that it has cover by raising the public safety banner, and sadly we have seen the death and devastation of multiple wildfires in CA. But it seemed to me like an odd strategy. Seems like there would be a less costly,less disruptive solution to prevent a wildfire started by a downed power line.
