he was definitely correct in saying that WVU should not stop running that option though! wtf is their coach thinking?

What I hate about Holtz games is that we always have to take some video trip down memory focking lane with his coaching at Notre Dame. He also might be even worse than Bill Walton re: being a know-it-all/he could have done it better.

Overall I like Holtz a lot. I think there are things not to like, but overall a good guy and somewhat enjoyable as an announcer but I like him better in the studio.

As for Bill Walton....AWESOME. I think you just have to "get" him to know how good he is. The thing about Walton is that he really does "know it all"....or at least most of it. At the same time, he is very witty and tongue-in-cheek and just has a really dry, sarcastic sense of humor and most people just don't understand his humor. I for one am glad he doesn't dumb it down for the masses.

I agree I like Holtz in the studio, not announcing a game

The only thing I do not like about Bill Walton is that he is a tofu eating liberal, otherwise I can stomach him.

Lou is a great guy, motivator and analyst. Can't believe anyone would make fun of a guy for a speech impediment. He is good for the game. Go Dr. Lou!!

I also think at some point, announcers become "caricatures" of themselves and sometimes its really cool. I've always liked Brent Musburger but he was never one of my favorites. Late in his career its really cool to see him still doing games.

I love guys like Madden, Vitale, Rafferty, Keith Jackson, etc. but appreciate them even more late in their careers.

One thing about Holtz. Its amazing how successful and really just how tough this little nerd is. I mean look at the absolute respect he had from players and the guy is a little pipsqueak, but can grab a LB's facemask and literally drag him off the field after a bad play....he accomplished so many goals in life and has a good sense of humor and witty and a great motivator.

Main thing I don't like about him is that he seemed to take over programs and leave them in bad shape at times.
