MONTREAL VS CHICAGO.

FROM THE PRESS:
We had a great five days of practice. It was almost like a training camp," Hawks defenseman Jon Klemm said. "Our conference is so tight, there's no room to have a lapse."

Thibault was pulled by Sutter for the second straight game after allowing all 5 goals in 30 shots in two periods.
We're a team that doesn't give up a lot of scoring chances," Sutter said. "It's something Joce has got to work his way through and our team has got to get better in its own end.

Defense is a team thing from the goaltender on out." The Hawks held the Flyers to just 3 shots in the third period, but the damage had been done
------------------------------
Montreal is 3-6-1 ATS on 0 day rest
Chicago is 19-6-4 ATS at home this season.

LAST 5 GAMES.
Offense
Chicago +2.4
Defense
Montreal +1
Power play
Chicago + 25.3%
Pen killing

---------------------------------
Montreal away scoring 2 goals or less 1-8

Chicago at home allowing 3 goals or more 3-4

Chicago at home scoring 1 goal or less 0-2 (9%)
Chicago at home when scoring 2 goals or more 19-2 (91%)
Montreal away allowing 2 goals or less 7-0 (28%)
Montreal away allowing 3 goals or more 2-16 (72%)
----------------------------------
Chicago playing against an opponent +/- same stats (GF/GA) has Montreal at home is 9W-1L-1T
Chicago off has been hot lately. Chicago at home scoring 2 goals or more in 91% of its home game and they are 19-2 in those games. Montreal allowing 3 goals or more in 72% of its away game is 2-16 in those games
Montreal playing against off over 2.60 (chic is at 2.75 and hot) is 1W-4L-2T
---------------------------------
I really much like the fact that both thibbault and theodore had bad games last night.
5 of last 8 went under, 1 over and 1 push.
I expect both goalies and def to be focus in this one and with the third period for each of those teams last night I see a low scoring one. EARLY lean Chicago and the under, will confirm later.

Time for one more quick one........
LOS ANGELES VS PITTSBURGH
The Kings, 8-1-1-1 in their last 11 road and have won 14 of their last 21 games (14-4-2-1) and have posted a 20-6-4-1 record over their last 31 games. Los Angeles is unbeaten in the last three meetings with Pittsburgh (2-0-1) overall and is 2-0-2 in its last four trips to Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh in non conference game is 3-12, Pitsburgh when playing on 3 days or more rest 1-5

Like TerryRAy mention in his thread, Storr should be in goals tonight and he only gave more than 2 goals in his openner. When L.A gives 2 goals or less on the road they are 9-3 and when Pitsburgh scores 2 goals or less at home they are 2-10. Storr is 5-1 on road games, HEDBERG is 13-11-1 at home

L.A going on the road against a team that has a GAA>2.80 (Pitts is at 2,81) they are 6 under and 1 over.

Early lean for LA and the under
see you later

Frogy-

Agree with your kings analysis, had about the same stats that had me lean towards the Kings and the Under 5.5

My only question...why am I getting such value with Kings -.5 +130 with most info pointing to an LA win? I guess if it's going to be a low scoring game the half goal could come into play, but I was still surprised. Any thoughts?

TX for the feedback, that make two of us on this one.
I'm looking at florida +1.5 and the over but i just have a small amount of games in my scenarios to support those picks, The over looks good but with a top scorer out i just cant pull it.

Pitts is due for a win and they are at home and rested, i think that the lines maker gave valu to this.

LA has been rotating w-L OR w-t in the last few games and they would be up for a lost or tie now.

Notting much to support this but I guess the linesmakers sow something that i just dont see.

 maybe a ML would be a better choice:shrug:
Just going to stay whit first thaught:D

Frogy-

A couple of stats for Fl/Det

In their 1st home game following a road game, Florida is 2-9 losing by an average of 2.77 goals.

Home game following road loss... 2-3 -2 goals/loss

As far as Kings, I'm taking the - half puck, has too much value in that for me to pass it by.

Best of luck:cool:

pitt/la

pitt/la

been looking over this one as well, cant seem to come to a conclusion but good luck, read this off the pens boards--
from post gazette i believe--
"The Penguins' coaching staff spent part of the Olympic break conceiving a new, more aggressive strategy that will be unveiled tonight. More forwards will be involved in the forecheck, and defensemen will be encouraged to pinch to keep the puck in the attacking zone."

should lead to more scoring ops for LA if pit gets aggressive as well or at least some odd man rushes--

good luck frog--

Wigs very good info, as always.
Too late for me but lets see how this develop in the future.TX again this info i didn't see

Saints in regards to det/flo my stats are not convincing expect for Detrroit ML (too expensive) and for the over. but these numbers are taken out of 8 games that look like the same scenarios involving those two teams this year and thats not enough for me.

Rebel my friend long time no talk, hope all is oke for you.

Good call on that Det game Frogy...it was nice to pick up an LA win with that nice payout. Wish I had read wigs' post about the attack style and didn't lean to the under, but all in all a great night.

Congrats all:D
