clearly the Angels have set sites on Seattle & they are gaining quickly. Anaheim is a great team to follow, they hustle & grind and it is paying off. I think Appier will finally receive some run support tonight as he only has received 2 runs over last 3 starts. Behind Sele & Washburn, Appier has been successful this season with90KS in 120 innings of work.
Chicago has clearly quit losing 5 of last 6, trading Lofton & Durham said to w Sox clubhouse. No secret Thomas would be gone also if opportunity arises. Garland has been average this season, but I suspect Anaheim will get to him. In 2 May starts against Anaheim Garland went 1-0 and yielded 6 runs 12 hits over 9 innings. Angels are playing hard with a purpose, w Sox playing out the string. Very important to consider it August. Early money has pushed Angels price up. but after holding Yankees down & receiving 0 run support in last start. Really like Appier tonight

good luck

I couldn't agree more. Mentioned yesterday before game that Fulmer is finally heating up and he hit another one out and just missed another. Scoscia has these guys ready to run through walls for him. He plays extremely smart baseball, constantly looking to advance runners anyway he can. In contrast to the pitiful run producing Dodgers, the Angels score often on outs. Scoscia is good at putting his players in position to score runs with outs as well as hits. Contrast this with the highly over=rated Jim Tracy. Dodgers had guys on base every inning but 9th last nite and scored 1 run. He seldom moves runners up with sacrifice, instead relying on a weak hitting team to get hits to score runs. Appier has pitched much better than his record indicates and I believe he will shut down ChiSox tonite.

I agree ..

huge difference in the mentality of the two teams. Anaheim really wanna come out on top and I think they will win this one.

CWS cannot advance a runner from third with 0 outs in the game against TB .. to me that is simply ridiculous .. also havin 2 people thrown out at plate in same game and fat ass thomas not wantin to slide into hope plate as he will take 10 mins to pick his sorry ass up and then gettin thrown out at home plate as a result is a very sorry state in terms of condition of the team.

Lets go Anaheim
