Sent her flowers on (past) Monday. This way she had them at the office all week. Saturday, she showed at my house with a card and Candy waiting. Dinner was picked up from Macaroni Grill. Two bottles of wine and a Fun evening lead to me fixing breakfast.
I did get to watch BB, Daytona and Daly's win. A great weekend.

Sent the kids to bible camp for 4 hours and we ordered out for seafood. Watched some TV without the kids and it was all good. Nice and quiet just like old times.
Not too mention got her some collectible pieces for her nativity scene that she has started collecting.

went to niagara falls yesterday, then I took her out to dinner at the love boat, visited hard rock cafe, and then a romantic evening.
It's all about her, and only her on Valentine's day...

believe it or not i bought my wife a crock pot for valentines day. what did you expect after being together for 21 years (lol). and in return my wife took me out to dinner.
and we lived happily ever after (lol).

What can I say? Doc is a hard act to follow. Mexico on New Year's, Niagara Falls on Valentines Day, the Cottage during the Summer, etc. While Doc uncorks the vino in the spa, near the waterfall w/a view of the Ocean I'm having a 16 oz Bud Light in a Humpty Dumpty wading pool being fed from a water hose draped over a step ladder while looking @ the backyard fence.
Truth be told Tara we both had to work, but we got plenty of 'cuddle' time before & after while savoring each moment until we started sawing zzzzzzzz's.
Its been one long Honeymoon. Like the old saying "Just cause there's snow on the roof don't mean there ain't no fire in the Furnace."

Flowers and dinner . After 32 Valentines Days together it's hard to come up with any new ideas. I bought her a new rock last year. Hope everyone had a nice day.

Well I had to work for a few hours in the morning............. I guess I didn't choose such a great day to do so:thinking: or maybe I did. I am a part time process server for the law firm I currently work for, so basically the 3 people I served on Valentines Day probably thought I was the florist delivering flowers or something Much to there surprise when I asked does Mr.or Mrs. so and so live here and they replied YES I'm her/him or yes she/he does............. SLAM BAM and I had to hand them there complaint ....................Which indicates they are being sued for whatever reason.............
came home , "HAD TO" watch some hoops for they were on every TV in my house. LOL
Then I proceeded to take out what I "thought" I was cooking for dinner , when much to my surprise 2 out of my 3 teenagers confessed that my traditional heart shaped meat loaf smoothered with RED ketchup X O on top with bacon, the pink mashed potatoes , salad with red vinegarette dressing , red kool aid and of course red jello with pink cool whip WAS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they laughed They confessed that they just ate it because they didn't want to hurt my feelings.................... and then they all let me know they had plans, even my 11 year old wouldn't be home anyway!!! she went to a V-day dance.............
My husband asked me a few times what I wanted for V-day , but honestly there isn't anything in this world I really WANT,other than a new kitchen LOL I think flowers are a waste of $$$$ personally don't care for roses + they are bad luck in my house,I haven't had my eye on any new jewelry..................other than a new kitchen LOL like I said nothing I want!
My point to the story is , the joys of small children and the pleasure I have gotten over the years making them happy is almost gone . The "freshness" (i don't think that was the word I was looking for oh well) of new love fades away with time.........and you each become like the wallpaper on the wall , if you know what I mean LOL?????Don't get me wrong,Raymond is my best friend in the whole world so just hanging out with out kids IS GREAT FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!
but I guess my day was a little sad because I realized on V-day that I am at a new plato in my life and aceptance really sucks!!!!!!!!!
My kids are all growing up and hopefully will be off at college in a few years, they have boyfriends and girlfriends of there own now and the more practical "getting older" side of me decided that waiting in line for 2 hours at a restaurant for dinner is a pain in the azz...........so lets just stay home...........

its like one day you are buying barbie/power ranger V-day cards with lolli pops and sending them off to school to exchange with there friends and then befor you know it your crossing your fingers and praying that they aren't getting TOO up close and personal with there girl/boyfriends on Valentines day..............
I don't know how to end my post ???? guess I'll have to upgrade my V-day dinner for the kids to filet minon and lobster tail to keep them home with me, and disable the TV's in my house for an hour or 2 after they go out LOL

TBone the wedding went great. Everything was beautiful. I would highly recommend the Bahamas Sandals wedding. Very cool and old Boiler got a little R&R in the sun to boot. Had the reception last weekend and all went fine except for my daughter and her friends giving me to much Crown Royal. Hope you get that ROCK for your front yard.
